Saturday

This morning I worked on swapping the BDG platform sale shoes with the peeptoe skimmers. Now the skimmers are more visible, and hopefully when people come down the stairs it will draw more ladies in. I also filled the platform sneakers. Kat came in at 8 and worked on jewelry. She finished processing the jewelry from this week yesterday. Today she worked on re-pegging th jewelry frame and cleaning that up. Its really starting to look great, and our jewelry numbers are showing that!!

I also worked on filling intimates. I really want to try to get out the Brooklyn bra tops, we have soo many!! I filled panties, hanging bras, and the bandeaus. I also filled WACC sale bags a bit. Those triguesset bags are on sale for 9.99 and we still have quite a few left in brown.

Other then that, i've just been working on trying to keep the cash wrap clean because Kat cleaned it up yesterday. It's been a slow morning so we're focusing on customer service so the people who do come in can leave with a bunch of good merch.

Tomorrow we're working on sale nail polish/the stanchions, velocitizing small good, and filling (per usual!)
Everyone say hello to the new member of WACC, Emily, a transfer from Florida Memphis! !

Torrential

Hey guys. It was another busy day. We got shipment again today since Monday is a holiday, and though they are processed and placed, the surplus is sitting in bs waiting for homes in bays. Other than processing shipment, I worked on sunglasses my last hour and, with the help of Janine, completed processing the online returns.

In Great News: Congratulations Leslie! Leslie is our new Women's team lead, so congratulate her when you see her.

Directives

Friday: The cash wrap needs some TLC. Please gut the cash wrap. This means: organizing the drawers, the shelving, and removing ALL product from the registers and the pull out drawers. I would then work on any skuless items and direct returns that are to be processed. NO ONE should be adding to these baskets.

Directives:

  • The jewelry frame is going to become all necklaces. Any earrings or other jewelry on the frame will be moved onto the wacc cluster. The cluster itself needs to be filled and ALL the jewelry needs to be processed. We've been getting behind on that. Jewelry should really have a 24 hour turn out which means within 24 hours it should be on the floor. Our jewelry makes us well over $1,00 every week.
  • The front of the jewelry frame will be velocity necklaces.
  • The knotted turbans will go on the front of the maxi/hair accessories rack onto the spindles.
  • The stanchions will become sale nail polish in six of the boxes while the other six next to it will become grab and go beauty products.
  • Small goods is to get velocitized and at eye level on the frame.
  • The companion pouch and the ecote tassel bag will be swapped from the back of the vignette to the front of the small goods frame.
  • Tights will go on the socks frame underneath the socks. Socks will get consolidated.
  • Markdowns this week. Firsts & furthers!! We got some good stuff that got marked down and most of it went to very affordable price points.
  • The linen skimmers will get re-stacked so it's whole rows of shoes as opposed to every other peg being a different style.
  • The BDG platform sneakers will switch with the open toe peep skimmers. The skimmers are a nicer presentation and will also draw more people into the frames.
I will update later with weekend direction depending on how much Abby and I can get done today. Hopefully we can also work on processing some of that jewelry tonight.

Halp

We had two call outs/no shows today, so ontop of beating the day (woo!) we had our work cut out for us.
The closing team only consisted of three employees plus a manager,  so needless to say it did not end in a close to perfection. I honestly spent the majority of my time helping the Women's floor regain shape.

Abby, I didn't get a chance to process most of the unprocessed runs in that WACC basket. There's dozens in there, and my tired brain doesn't remember the reason that so many runs were left unprocessed over the course of the day/night they appeared, but I was of the understanding that we weren't going to "go there" anymore. With a busy day/night it really isn't too possible to process all of the returns we get + 20+ unprocessed runs from days before, so let's keep those happenings to a minimum to avoid an invevitable build up.
There are also about 4 boxes of shoes that appeared at the end of the close, and I put those in the drawers in the wrap. My apologies for not getting to run them down to BS, the night was dragging down.

As far as filling, the new/replen headbands we got in could definitely use a place since they're low, as well as nail polish, statement rings near the cluster, necklaces, and bracelets (there's a whole glass dish that's empty that should be filled).

Im off until Friday, so keep a girl (and team) updated!

Trippy Tueday

Hi dolls! Happy Tuesday! We got a lot of shipment today, three boxes of boxed shoes, multiple boxes of TOMS, two regular sized boxes of the KB skimmers etc. I was able to process everything but some new and replen head bands, but, besides the boxed shoes and most of the TOMS, all of our shipment from yesterday and today are sitting outside our bays. I do everything I can to make sure our shipment is ready for the floor and back stock, but I can't get into back stock to make sure its not in disarray, which it is quickly approaching. I forgot to mention yesterday that we have markdowns this week. However, I'm sure I won't get to it till Thursday. You guys have a great night!

Post pyschotic sale

Hey guys! We had a super clean this morning, so although I got in at 8, a little after 9 we wrapped up shipment in order to clean. I didn't really begin in any order, but I started in backstock, trying to figure out some of the randomness. Someone pulled a couple bins from the bays and left them out. So I put those back into the bays, moved a couple baskets of hats out of the inner bays and placed them at the very top to make room for bins of merchandise. I also pulled some sale shoes and sale bags to the floor and then moved the two full priced bags that were laying in open spaces in the rolling bay to the bag bay. When I came in, the hangers were overflowing at the cash wrap and in the break room. Thus, I started by pulling shopping bags to fill at the cash wrap but also to get rid of a lot of the card board in the break room, which cleared up all the floor space in front of the full hanger bars, and consequently made them more accessible. With a little consolidation, I made room for more hangers and hanger bars, before Leslie took over and put all the hangers from the wrap and those that were laying on the floor and loosely hanging onto hanger bars into the hanger organizers. After filling bags, I dusted and clorox-wiped all the surfaces at the wrap and swept. We didn't get too much shipment today (and for the most part they were all replen), although it seemed like a lot  because so much was packed in small boxes, and I was able to finish processing all but one box of panties and replen sandals.

Imortant info: We have new cycle counts on the mini Instax fuji cameras, the women's black bdg twig midrise denim and a men's item that wasn't announced but which I will figure out tomorrow. So look out for that.

I hope everyone had a great weekend

Love, abby

Womp Womp Womp

Rain. Sale. Rain. Sale. Two of my faaaavorite things.

I was at the wrap all day after opening. This morning I filled WACC sale to the brim and filled sunglasses as well as spot filling the floor. The rest is history. There were constantly lines to the Fits of customers so I'm hoping we made our day. WACC is currently down 1% if I'm correct, so we must be sure to ge the floor back up to full ASAP. Sunglasses could always use a good fill, as well as nail polish and beauty. Earrings are low and could also use a filling.

Be sure to check velocity to see where are numbers stand as far as specific items to focus on and what not.

I was also working on a basket of skuless today, so that needs to be finished up and should still be at the wrap (hopefully brought down to backstock or left secured at the wrap with a nice little note.)

I hope the close goes well. Monday's the start of a new (work) week, so let's kick the floor into shape.

See you Tuesday
~Christine
