Weekly Directives

WACC ended last week up +28%!!!!! WOOOO. Go us!  

Successful classes were: 157 scarves, 158 sunglasses, 162 necklaces, 163 other jewelry (up +261%, GET IT!), 150 travel (up +207%), 311 casual shoes (up +46%), 312 boots (up 101%), 315 athletics (duh, up +810%).

Oppurtunity classes: 164 beauty (down -32%), 151 handbags (made 1k but down -36%), 154 small goods, 314 sandals.

-SIGNAGEEEEE! We have a lot of promos ending and starting this week. We need to make sure everything is properly signed.. So...

-We need a panty promo sign somewhere in the corner of the lower level.

-The sandal promo is also ending on August 1st (Wednesday) so please make sure to take down the signage off that A-Frame and fill in that last peg please..

-The D&O bag promo is being reduced because we're not doing so hot with this promo. Now the D&O bags will be $39 instead of $49. Hopefully this will help push them out. I was a little dissapointed in the numbers we were showing for all these bags and backpacks.

-30% OFF ALL SALE ACESSORIES starting August 2nd. !!! This is huge for WACC (and MACC!). We're not sure if there are any small exceptions to this promo. As of right now I'm assuming it's our entire department which is BOMB. You know what this means.... SALE CLEAN UP! I'd like to see this happen on Friday morning. Please make sure the bags in sale are organized on the back of the z-racks and on the face outs. Fill and clean!!!

-Kimchi Blue flats are going to be on promo for $19 starting August 2nd. This is going to do WONDERS for our casual shoe business (which already has been doing pretty well, for the most part). We have GOT to make sure we're keeping these filled on a daily basis. We have way too many flats in backstock right now!! This is our oppurtunity to push them all out!

-Single shoes!! They're getting crazy in backstock. Please pair up single shoes before the end of this weekend. This would be a good Saturday morning project (after you fill the floor!).

-FILL, FILL, FILL!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. When you fill PLEASE post what you filled on the blog. It makes filling so much easier if you can just come to the blog and know what was filled the day before. Even if you don't fill and notice something running low, leave a fill list for the opener the next morning. Don't be shy guys!

-BLOG IT. Please always blog about your day. I promise people will read what you write and it is always appreciated.

Monday 7/30

This morning I worked on shipment. We got in a new BDG backpack in two colors, grey and black. We also got a silver Kimchi Blue flat not to be confused with the BDG flats that came in today (black, 'fuschia', and creme). We got a good 6 or 7 boxes of these flats. I'd like to put them on a A-Frame but am not sure yet. The back of the A-Frame in zone 2 is looking very light so maybe we could condense that down and do flats on the back. I'm going to talk to Morgin about it and see what she says. We also got in two new styles of clutches. Both styles came in two colors each. We also got little handheld mirrors that I placed on the beauty stanchion (took me a while to figure out how to spell this). Lastly, we got a ton of PANTIESSSSSSSS.

When we opened I had a free hour because Kisa was the helping receiver she was able to watch the cashwrap for me while I played in Panty Land. I was able to get out all the underwear from today but we also got a bunch of styles of panties last week that have not made it out yet. Tom is building us a crazy and expensive wall to house all these styles of panties. I'm really excited but until then it's going to be difficult to get more styles out without taking over the round table. I'd really like WACC to watch this section very closely ESPECIALLY when we get that panty wall. I want to take more ownership in that downstairs corner. Bras and panties are still our classes! Let's not forget them!

I can't update on business quite yet. Our numbers haven't posted and I haven't had a walkthrough yet. Directives and business post to be followed soon.. Hopefully.

Suddenly Seeking SUNDAY

WELP it's Sunday, which means a new exciting week ahead!!

Long time no see Wacc babies!! I have been off the schedule for the past week but I'm back and looking forward to hopefully working more! (Charley I posted in a comment my availability thru August on your last post)


ANYWAYYYY it was a slow opening this morning, I got thru almost all of Charely directives:
-Filled TOMS, jewelry, some beauty, bags and outstock shoes.
I didn't get a chance to fill the sunglasses though! **OOPS** I planned on doing it my last hour but I got cut at two instead of four -_- so if someone could get to that tonight or tomorrow that would be great! The back of that A-Frame is lookin sparse..

NEWS AT THE CASH WRAP!!!
no more small and medium bags!! :/ let's use them sparingly until we receive some more! also, I found the TOMS bags in the breakroom and placed some up front as well as some jewelry boxes so offer those to customers that ask!

LAST NIGHT'S CLOSE:
not sure who closed up WACC last night but GOOD JOB!! :) the shoe lounge looked BEAUTIFUL!!! all mannequins had shoes,  cash wrap looked good, wacc clusters we're great all and all a good close for us! I did notice some grey areas in the women's close out so let's help with that if we can! just a few things misplaced and also don't forget to have someone hit up that housewares nook! some of the books and cameras were a bit wonky! oh and don't forget about holds!

Weekend Directives!!!

Good Morning, Folks! This morning I would love for you to tackle filling all Wacc merchandise. Full priced and sale!!!! TOMS especially!!! -Now that the Jewelry and Beauty Products are housed in the office. You really need to be filling this. We can tell if its not being filled. -Currently, we are leading. (AS A DISTRICT!!!) We are up 53 Percent on the week. Tomorrow, is the last day. Lets end up 60 or even 70 percent. -Please work the single shoe situation. They are above the Housewares bay. Near the TOMS. -All casuals need filling, Sandals, Promo Bags and Scarves. -Please make sure all forms have shoes. As well as, all shoes being displayed. -Sunglasses can use some love. -Any Outstocked sale shoes can go on the display wall or table. Neatly, please!!! -Don't forget the EAS!!!!! -Keep our Wacc clean and organized. -I NEED TO SEE MORE BLOGS FROM THE TEAM!!!!! THERE'S NO COMMUNICATION GOING ON AT ALL!!! Friday 7/27

Hi everybody!
This morning I went through the baskets and bins and sorted everything so that it could be put into the office. Just so that everyone knows, both jewelry and beauty will be kept in the office as a general precaution! I also filled some scarves and shoes and backpacks, as well as jewelry, but most of my morning was preoccupied with sorting. I didn't get to the casual shoes upstairs, so if anybody wants to tackle filling that- please do!

Just wanted to let everyone know about what's going on!

FRIDAY 7/27 DIRECTIVES

Top priority: There are three baskets of jewelry and beauty in backstock near the shoe bay. If you can go through these baskets and organize them. Please group all the same items together and bag them in the clear bags we keep in backstock (if you're unsure where the clear bags are please ask Janine, or a manager and they'll direct you). The baskets should be organized by like items and the bags should only have one style of item in each. Once you've gone through all three baskets they will be going in the office above the desk. You will see I began working on this on Thursday but was unable to finish. Please label the side of the basket with what's inside. Loose beauty products can be bagged but big eye shadow cases and such don't need to be bagged.

Before we open: FILL FILL FILL. Please fill sandals, casual shoes, scarves, backpacks, ang bags. Please pay close attention to the promos!

When we open: There should be a bin of unprocessed jewelry in backstock. Please work on finishing processing this jewelry and putting it out.

Schedule 7/29 to 8/4

Monday 7/23

Today we got in three new prints in the Ecote canvas backpack. We got panties in a few colors/styles. I'm pretty excited about this because people often ask if we have underwear for women. We got one new scarf, a new style of bracelet, and tights. We also got new chord Cooperative loafers in three colors. I added these to the front of the A-Frame in zone 1, condensed the back of the A-Frame, and moved the Herrachis to the back of zone 2. I added the solid colored Cooperative loafers to the front of the A-Frame as well, so they could all be together. The rest of my morning was dedicated to cleaning up from the 30% off sale. I emptied out the sale shoes round table, removed the sale boxed shoes from the floor, and made the wall all display shoes once again.

Drum roll Please!!!!!!

Hello, Hello and Hello! -So us a department ended with a 11.5 up 12. Company is up down 9. Season to date we are up 8. Company is down 7. That's definitely a good look. We been comping for a good while now. Keep up the good work! -While we did really well in.... HOLD UP!!!!Intimates finished up 65. Company finished up 34. Season to date we are up 23. Company is up 59.... That will be corrected soon. I will get back to this in a second. -Soooo While we did really well with The usual Scarves (157)+47/-7, Sunglasses (158) +31/+37 Athletics (315)+1,140/+45. We really bounced back with Jewelry Earrings (161) +95/-46, Necklaces (162)+22/-7, Other Jewelry (163)+97/+92. Well done!!! Lets continue this streak by keeping it full and maintained. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT GETS CLOSED OUT! BOOM! Boots (312)+151/-7 did really well. Now that we actually have a variety to choose from. Go head, Sandals (314)+97/-28. Make sure that we a watching the quantities that we have. We have tons of those EC suede thongs. That should never be light at all. Summer is practically over. We do not want to be sitting on all that riff raff come September. -While these classes were down. We still beat company. Handbags (151)-29/-32, Belts (155) -27/-36. Lets aim for success with these classes. We have a few bag promos going on. Deena & Ozzy Bags $49 (SELECTED) -These classes didn't do well at all. Hair Accessories (156)-98/+6, Travel (150)-38/+5, Beauty (164)-31/+5 and Small Goods (154)-6/-2. Hats (152)-92/-60. (ALL WE HAVE A HEAVY BEANIES IN THE SUMMERTIME......)The fedoras are on sale. $4.99 and 9.99. Lets just push these outta here!!!! So as you all see, We did fairly okay. We always have room for opportunity. Lets fix these classes. Push those promos, KEEP IT MAINTAINED, CLOSE IT OUT and fill that floor. Nandi, who was a shoe specialist over at 46. Will continue on at 114. I printed out the Shoe Velocity for you. I asked them to give you time to do so on Monday. To update the shoes. If not. Leave me communication. Weekend Directives!!!!!! MUY IMPORTANTE!!!

Good Morning! AS WE ALL KNOW THAT THE BIG SALE IS GOING ON THIS WEEKEND. HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT ARE A NECESSITY: Christine, will be setting up the side walk sale. (Wacc Opener)Wacc will place neatly in a box. $9.99 scarves and Wallets (seperately)Also, a bin of sale tights and socks can go in separate box as well. Sale Belts can get boxed as well. TOMS will need a good filling. We have new Bag promos going on. All Ecote Canvas backpacks and The Studded backpacks are $49. The Deena & Ozzy bags are $49. Those are already in the correct home, with signage. I just ask that we keep it filled. Sunglasses/Jewelry will need to filling love also. All display shoes should be updated. On forms and on the table. Please make sure those canvas lace ups are being filled. Online Returns can be marked in half and placed on the display wall with the sale hats. Outstock Sale Casuals can go into the sale table in the shoe lounge. We have some Cami's that are low quantity. We need to get the lace camis on the hanger (The signage is on that one). Fold the basic Cami's into the table. Belts need filling. Keep it clean!!!!! We are currently up 6 on the week!!!!!

FRIDAY 7/19/12

TOP PRIORITY is the D&O Shredded Square Scarf. Please pair up with Morgin to help place these. They come in FOUR colors. The Starring at Stars mixed fringe scarf also needs a home. There is also a lace scarf that came in THREE colors (not two like I thought). You will find this scarf on the basics table in zone 1. However, it'll need to move because there is a third color that is not represented.

THE REST OF THE MORNING: The rest of your morning before we open should be dedicated to moving bags. The arrowhead bag that is downstairs in the wall needs to move upstairs to a wall in zone 2. The four buckle tote that is on the back of the vignette in zone 2 also needs a new home. Possibly on a table or in a shelf.

WHEN WE OPEN: Re-vamp beauty. Please check the top velocity beauty items and fully represent them. Pull off all beauty items underneath the stantion and backstock anything that is overpacked or not being touched.

My Morning

This morning was spent helping clean up WACC in  backstock. Janine added sandals and flats to the peg board on the side of the bays. She also created more room for us to place our new shoes! I went through quite a few random bins in backstock full of WACC. It was crazy the things I found mix in with our WACC in backstock. Mens, womens, housewears, returns, broken hangers, etc. No bueno mi amigos. Had we maintained backstock the right way I wouldn't have had to spend my morning working on this. PLEASE do NOT leave runs back there, add random WACC to random bins without checking what's in it first. Also, I don't think we should keep any bins in sale anymore because it's obvious we can't contol it. I did manage to fill the canvas skippies, and sale sandals/flats. I spent the first hour and a half while open detangling these D&O chain link zipper bags.... -.- A HOUR AND A HALF. THAT'S 90 MINUTES I COULD HAVE USED TO BE FILLING, OR PLACING SHIPMENT NOT YET OUT. What do I have to show for it? Three bags that are untangled, two damaged bags, and a knot still full of bags. SHAME on whoever threw these in sale. Seriously, I could have been using this time for other things and instead I was forced to work on these bags. Obviously it needs to get done because we can't damage out $600+ worth of bags. I'm just really dissapointed.

I placed the new knit hats that came in (on the basics table), and 2 styles of scarves (the lacey scarves are on the basic table & the other style that came in 3 colors is on the back of the vignette in zone 2. However there is still 2 styles of scarves not on the floor yet (one comes in FOUR colors, and the other in TWO colors). I also put out a new hat that came in a second color (in the zone 2 wall).

Shout out to Janiney our amazing receivette who helped create more WACC room in backstock and helped me go through these random bins.

NEEDLESS TO SAY. ..
NEVER EVER THROW THINGS IN SALE. BE MINDFUL OF THINGS THAT TANGLE. DOUBLE CHECK EVERY ITEM YOU PLACE IN BACKSTOCK. AND FILL, FILL, FILL.

Thursday Morning!!! Get it Together!!!!!

Good Morning!!!! I'm a little disappointed to see very little or no communication going on here. Do you guys pass off to one another?? GET IT TOGETHER!!!! TIGHTEN UP!!! COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE!!! Thursday morning should go like this: Shipment still needs to be processed. We have several new scarves in this week. They are all in backstock!!! Thank you all for particapating in the sale setup... We have many sale items to be filled. I cleaned up the bag wall. We have styles for fills in the tandem. All online shoe returns are to be marked down and placed on the display wall. Any sale scarves can go on Z racks in sale. That's all folks!!!!

Saturday Fill List

1. Fletcher shoes in the front of entry table (not sure if we have more, but double check)
2. The Deena & Ozzy sandals in the back of zone 2 in the wall. They come in black and white.
3. Bras! Specifically the seamless bandeaus and the lace triangle bra (hanging on the T stand). But fill all bras & camis (these are kept in the womens bay in backstock)
4. There is a large quantity of patterned plaid style backpacks in backstock that are not on the floor, please put them out with the other color downstairs on the backpack wall. 
5. Mary Janes! You can stack these up fairly high. 
6. All casual shoes. Walk the A-Frame in zone 1 and make sure to check inside tables. 
7. Spot fill: scarves, handbags, and hats.

WACC Directives

This week in WACC were working on a major bag move, re-working the jewelry A-Frames, tidying up WACC sale, and re-working the sale stantion.

Wednesday: Because we have no shipment today I'd like you to work in WACC sale. Sale scarves can be added to the back of the z-racks in sale. Please no more then 6-7 scarves, and full programs only. Make sure the back of the z-racks have the clamps on them (it's literally a clamp that attaches to the back of the rack), you can find them in Toms shop or if you need help finding them please ask the opening manager, they'll be more then happy to show you. Make sure everything is marked down. Fill sale bags in sale section.

BAG MOVES are happening! Normally, I'd say Thursday would be a primo day to do it but we are getting shipment this day because of the holiday. If time allows, begin this bag move. Depending on what gets done, I will continue on Saturday. So..the D&O double convertible is going to be moved to the vignette near the stairs. The tassel bags that are there currently can be displayed into shelving in zone 2, perhaps the shelving next to the voop wall. The arrowhead bag that's currently on the wall near the FR (comes in black and brown) is going to be moved to where the D&O double convertible used to be next to the strapless dresses (you will have to take off one of the face outs for this). The ecote fringe hobo bag will be moved to the wall in zone 1 where the arrowhead bag was previously placed.

Friday: The entire top of the WACC sale table needs to be all across t-stands. Pull all kinds of sale necklaces over there. The sunglasses a-frame is going to be all sunglasses front and back. We have sooo many sunglasses it shouldn't be hard to fill. The jewelry a-frame will then become all jewelry. The hair accessories for the time being can be backstocked, and sale hair accessories can be added to the sale table. Backstock as needed on the WACC sale. The wallets can go into backstock because the following day they're going to be moved into a bin.

Saturday: Moving the four buckle tote to the wall near the stairs. The backpacks will then go downstairs and be worked into the back pack wall. Set up the peg stands on the WACC cluster so they become all sale earrings. Add hair scarves to the back of zone 2. Add a $10 off sandals promo sign to the shoe lounge (note to self: double check this one in the slant ;) Add a bin of sale wallets to the fitting room, if you need product pull from the wallets on the shelf in the WACC sale table. Last but not least, FILL FILL FILL! Fill: hats, TOMS, handbags, small goods, sandals, casual shoes, and scarves.

Whew, I think that about sums it up. We might have to re-arrange some of the days tasks but I like mapping out the week because it helps me personally organize how to accomplish everything that needs to get done. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

Sunday Funday 7/1/12

• new month new mystery shop!! be on the look out! make sure we're thanking people for waiting in line, greeting every customer, and getting every zip code and e-mail.
• We finished the week +8%!!! YAYYYY! vs Company who was -20%. WORD. GO WACC. :) Strong/weak classes TBA.
• Spent my morning filling, filling, and filling. I filled: scarves, jewelry, sale, sandals, and bras.
• I moved the shiny Cooperative oxfords from zone 2 to the peg wall downstairs in the shoe lounge. I also moved the espadrilles that were on sale from the sales floor to the shoe sale round table.
• 30% off jewelry has ENDED. Please be aware of this.
• Make sure when we're closing to walk ALL the WACC on the floor. Pay verrry close attention to the WACC cluster.
• Shout out to Corey who gutted the entire cash wrap. Make sure to walk it thoroughly and familiarize yourself with placement ofeverything. Let's keep it clean guys! I've never seen the wrap look so good. Everything is labeled, organized, and most things have moved around.
• Shout out to Nico who re-organized the break room and organized the bags into that fixture in the break room. It looks great in here! Let's please maintain this!
