Life is What Happens When You're Busy Making Plans

Hey guys. Today didn't go quite as I had planned. We are currently short on hours so I got cut three hours today, so instead of leaving at 12 I left at 3. As I said yesterday, we got markdowns this week. I completed the women's floor yesterday and was supposed to work in BS today. In fact, I got a lot done, just not exactly what I had originally planned. I started off tagging shipment this morning. We got replen in tights and some new socks, these are still in their box in BS, sequined berets in three colors (brown light green and cream), a new circle scarf in two solid colors, black and cream, replen in Cooperative and Kimchi Blue flats, a new style in the head warmers in 2 colors; black and light green and replen in the screen touch gloves. I backstocked the gloves and pulled a number of the other items into a box with the intention of placing them, but they are still sitting at the cash wrap. So what did I do? I completely reorganized the shoe bays. Every brand is grouped together and every style within that brand is grouped together. This was only possible because I also pulled the majority of the sale shoes out of backstock and organized them into sale. The sale shoes that are out are marked, but the ones left in back stock are unmarked; however they are grouped together on one shelf so marking them down will be very easy. I moved the onsey/return shoes to the front of the bays so that it will be easy for us to know what we have only one of; and now when Andy is looking for a Jeffrey Campbell shoe or that one Ash sneaker he doesn't have to move the bays, he can just peek up. The last problem, that has only been solved temporarily is the mountain of homeless (those without a box) shoes that were heaped into the back far left corner. The shoes that were one sided went into the "one-sided" shoe bin and those that had partners went into a box at the very top of the entrance of the shoe bay, it reads "WACC Unboxed Women's Shoes". The box is ultimately full, so when I said it is temporary I mean possibly only for today. Other than that I got out the Dolcetta oxfords which are on sale. They are hanging on the sale out stock shoe A-frame.

What is left:
1 marking down bags on the lower level and in BS
2 marking down all out stock shoes
3 getting the out stock shoes into sale
4 getting out shipment

The good thing about shipment is that there isn't much. I've been cut for tomorrow again, I'll be in a 10 instead of 7, so if Corey gives me time downstairs again there is hope that I can get everything done. Yet on top of that we also have job outs. I don't know if Anni wants us to do that sooner than Thursday, but I planned to just spend Thursday morning going through the sale boxes I made last week, the bays and then the floor. That's all for today guys. Have a good night.

Abby
