Weekend Directives

THIS WEEKEND:
A few things need to happen.

  1. Friday morning: Please continue to work on the piecey WACC/MACC bins. Please also spot fill your floor. Look out for sale gloves, scarves, and hats. ITS COLD. I'll be in at 2.
  2. We need to wrap up shipment by Friday. Meaning the little bit we have left needs to be placed if its not out, and then backstocked. Abby and I got through most the rest of it today. The only thing that didn't get out is a new open toe flat in two colors, which I think can go on the second a-frame downstairs. Then the real doosey, the sandals. ITS TOO SOON. That's all I'm saying. It's January. They need to be processed and backstocked regardless. There is enough room in backstock if we continue to consolidate our gloves and sock bins.
  3. SATURDAY Leslie, please update the shoe lounge display with all current full price shoes. Or as many as we can fit on the table, which should be all of them. Afterwards, please work on single shoes. I'm moving them into the second mens FR downstairs but we need to keep it under control from now on. Please walk the floor and try to pair up as many as you can and run them.
  4. Sunday. Please fill as appropriate. Any free time should be spent filling the floor, or maintaining our backstock. I would like to make sure WACC is 100% in backstock by Sunday. The floor is completely filled, and the cash wrap is completely cleared.
Let's talk about our closes shall we?
I know when it's late at night all we can think about is getting out and going home, right? Right. Newsflash, the store is completely dead right now. There is NO excuse we should be having shady closes. Today I came in and gutted the cash wrap and filled half the counter behind the cash wrap with runs. There were THREE DAYS worth of pins and hard tags behind the cash wrap. Take it downstairs. There are three house wears returns that have been sitting behind the cash wrap for days.. Why do I not see skus? What are they? Shouldn't we run them? I just don't understand, it's getting out of control. It's not just the managers responsibility to conduct a good close, it's a large responsibility of the associate of each department to close out their department properly. I will be re-posting opening and closing check lists for the entire team to access. I am going to try to find space at the cash wrap to conceal the list so it can stare us all in the face...
