4. Also, there are printed 154's pencil cases/make up pouches that are on sale for 4.99 that sold out really fast. Please check backstock for more, if we had them they'd be in the bin for wallets.
5. Casual shoes and sandals.
6. Sunglasses (easy fill while at the wrap)

Moving on, this morning I worked on filling our sale table, filling the floor, and MARKDOWNS. We had a tonn of jewelry mark downs. I made sure to add sale stickers to the front of most of them. Hopefully this will draw attention to the sale jewelry. So many bracelets on sale! And the whole bottom row on the necklace A-Frame is on sale. I'm really pushing for the jewelry this weekend. Last week, all jewelry was up except for earrings. Please make sure people are aware there is more jewelry behind the sunglasses.

As of right now, we're up 3% we need to HOLD ONTO THIS AND PUSH IT FURTHER.

Also, shout out to TOM for helping me with that backpack wall near the shoe lounge on Tuesday. Couldn't have done it without his help. He's the best. :)

Directives for this week!!! 6/25-6/30

Hey Ladies & Gentlemen!!!
Although, I previously blogged about business last week. I just want to add some direction for this week. So, that we can continue this swing that is going on.
Here is where you may need to partner up with our MTL, Nico for any assistance. If he doesn't have too much going on. However, he did say He will be available to help out with anything. Yay, Him!!!!
The Cami's in the wall will be changing. We will be removing all that shelving and adding face outs in the wall. Along with Updated signage. Which is actually placed on the table. It will be a 3x2=6. So, six face outs to fully represent the little that we have. This is due Thursday. Anni, I'm not here tomorrow. So, if we can get a start on this it will be awesome.
Sale, Sale, Sale….. We have tons of Wacc sale in the tandem. Utilize the boxes that were build for us. To house some of that stuff. However, we need to move the Housewares out from the bottom of the stanchion. Where is all that going to go???? Move over to grab and go???? So, that the area can just be Wacc Sale.
We will be adding 4 more face outs to the Bag Voop Wall… You know.. Where all those backpacks are. We will be losing the three face outs that are over there already. Please, see Morgin or Nico if any questions.
Those A frames need an overhaul. Plus a sign for the sandals being that all sandals are $10 off. Fill and clean her up. We will be swapping out the appliqué flats up top to below. Which leads the wall… We are giving that a major overhaul!!!! First, we need to clean the Peg wall with the Velocity flats . Get rid of those socks!!!! Its over!!!! Lets work something really cool there. Just make sure that it is zone appropriate. Be selective when you are selecting the product for that area.
We will be switching bags around. Most of the bags on velocity didn't even sell here. Although, we were up!!! The Non-Velocities and Sale sold.
Continue filling Sale shoes to that table. Bins of sale can go out!!!! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE UP KEEPING. MAKE SURE THAT IT DOESN'T GET RIDICULOUS!!!!! IF THAT MEANS BRING THEM BACK AT NIGHT. Use the out stock sale shoes in Bins to fill the table. Socks and Tights are cool in bins. Sale scarves can go out NEATLY> 7 on a rack at a time.
If we are adding bags to the Vignettes. Make sure that we have the clamps to place them.

Women's Accessories 14.3 up 38. Company down 15!!!! Thank You for all that hard work you guys put in this week. It definitely showed. Now, do you see what happens?. When directives get completed? That is why I always say think ahead. Anni, should be 2 weeks ahead. The rest should be 1 week. While,,,, I said the other day was August 17th. Well, you get it. Here we go:
    -Hats, Scarves, Sunglasses, Beauty, Necklaces, Other Jewelry, Travel, Handbags, Belts, Bras, Casual Shoes, Sandals and Athletics. Actually, slaughtered company numbers. Small Goods were pretty close both ending down 13. (Basically Tied). Watches were up 182% Company is up 2981%. Since, we are never up on Watches. We will take that one!!! So... Earrings, Boots and Hair Accessories were the losing classes this week. These will continue to be a struggle. However, We will mount a comeback!!!

Many of the Promos will have an extension. Tomorrow evening the slant will post.. I will not be here Tuesday. I will leave direction. If said promo gets extended. Continue filling and upkeep it. We don't need any WAC looking all unkempt and bothered.

Anni- You will need to touch base with Morgin regarding moves and such. Please, do not leave any samples at all this week.Going forward, at all. It becomes a big build up. Then, it gets neglected. Then, I gotta hear about it. So, no more!!! Also, the bag tandem. Is starting to look crazy. STOP THAT SHORTCUT BACK STOCKING YA'LL!!

The Shoe Sale will still be going on.... HOLLA!! We have tons of out stocked  shoes that can go in the table. As, what Elle did today.

Charley and I have both noticed these things & are disppointed in the condiction these areas were left in. Let's get it together & let those other stores know why we're the best WACC dept in our district!!

HEY WACC BABIE$$$$$$

Ok so I know there's a lot of new people coming to the team and some don't know about closing/opening/business hour procedures so here's some stuff to look out for! :)

When Opening:
-check blog for directives, notes, and things to look out for to make everyones on the same page
-make sure the closer stocked the bags under cashwrap
-all hangers in the hanger closet should be cleared out with fresh bars
-DO THE EAS CHECK FIRST THING WHEN WE OPEN!
-stock bags, if they weren't already
-ALSO, we are now cleaning in the morning so make sure to sweep behind cashwrap & make sure the cabinets are all straighten up and everything is in its rightful place. let's not let those cabinets get out of control!!

When Closing:
-Take hangers downstairs, bring up empty bars
-clean out all pins & hard tags
-stock up registers with urban bags
-take out trash
-make sure all returns have been processed
-pull all holds
-take job outs & damages to recieving (there's a bin/basket under the table for them)
-check mannequins for shoes!
-if possible PC the sunglasses, if not make sure they're tidy
-make sure everyone has logged their tags (if any were found) in the EAS binder.

During Business Hours:
-PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
-make sure we're asking for zip codes & email reciepts (I missed this on the mystery shop, so let's not forget about this!)
-get your hold tag approved by a manager, especially if a customer wanted to have the item(s) held for longer than 24hours!! we lose aduit points if this is not done!
-be aware of your surroundings! help out the greeter, and if there isn't one greet the customers while at cashwrap!

-RETURN POLICY UPDATE!!!!: NO RECIEPT, NO RETURN

that said, we are still allowed to look up the transaction thru the customers credit card (if they paid with one) as long as the tags are attached and in good condition feel free to offer them that option. just remember if you're unsure about a return or something shady is going down, speak up! don't be afraid to ask the floor sup for help or to take over the transaction for you!!

dont forget to check the card number & the customer's ID with any return that is a little weird (i do it for all my returns just in case) and enter ALL their information!!

Get ready for the Big Big Sale!!!!

A little direction continuation for this week!!! Buckle up!!!!!!

First things first!!!!
-We have a huge sale setup happening this week... Wednesday, Anni will be setting up the wacc sale. Wacc Shoes have been processed by Tyler tonight. Those will be going in the area where all those straw hats are living for the moment. Additional wacc sale will go into the table next to grab and go. The $4.99 cami's will go upstairs on the new sale rack. Sale beauty and Jewelry will replace the Men's graphics that are on the table top!!!!! Lets get rid of this stuff!!!!!!

Other Directives!!!
-We will be creating a BackPack Voop Wall for all those bags. Those will live downstairs... The Cami's downstairs will have a Voop as well. Please see Morgin or Nico for assistance. Since, I will not be in tomorrow.
-I moved the Friendship Pouches to the Vignette in Zone 1. The Deux Lux bag in the Shoe Lounge should come up to the front table. Until that Voop is done. The studded backpack needs to be out. The can go next to those Backpacks downstairs already.
-We have tons of new shoes.... The BDG shoes that came in today. Can go in the box replacing the remainder of sandals. To come upstairs to a shoe box. Since, we only have 9 left.
-Make sure those flats and sandals are filled.
-All display shoes in the Shoe Lounge all need to be represented. With Sku on the display sticker. If sale marked down. Small Sizes only. 7-8 prefferably.
-All color first should be completed!!!!!

Monday 6/18

Today we got in a new bag (even though it's listed as a 154/small goods). It came in two colors. The item isn't online so I don't have an image to show for it. It's color blocked and realllly cute. We also got a new D&O backpack in. We got replen in black canvas skippies, and some cat eye sunglasses. We were light on shipment (20 boxes). However, I spent my morning strictly filling. I did a mega super fill on scarves. I seriously put out a bin and a half of scarves. I filled jewelry and bags. I spent the last hour of my shift working on online returns. These online returns MUST be done before this weekend. I emptied one bin on Sunday and this is a great project to work on when it's slow or in the morning.

We did it!!!! Again!!! Well, almost!

Hey team!!!

          Last week we finished up 2. Company finished down 17. I'm loving the Compity Comp, that we have been doing. Season to date, we are up 7. Company is down 5. Nice job, Ladies and Gentleman!! Intimates finished down 3. That's a bit disappointing. But we will fix this!!!!!

The usual suspects... Beauty, Sunglasses, Other Jewelry, Casual and Athletics were the only classes on the plus side. While Earrings, Necklaces, Belts and Sandals didn't perform so great. We beat company in these classes. Small goods, Handbags, Scarves did not do well at all. Those three were once our money makers.. What happened? Answers everyone!!!!!!!

-Here is what needs to happen this week. Well, first. Thanks, for getting the directives done. We have Color Specific First tomorrow. So, that means Bras, Nail Polish, that one light brown clutch. You already know how that goes.
 -Shipment, Shipment, Shipment!!! Get it all on the floor. Fully Processed!!! That means no plastic and paper on zippers... (You know who you are!!!!!) Properly backstocked. What is happening with that Bag Tandem??
-Make sure we are filling the floor. I keep stressing filling can happen all day. Even though it shouldn't. Monday night Closer.... Please leave a fill list at the cashwrap. For the opener on Tuesday. Going forward, we will be doing this!!!!
-All Shoes will need to be updated tomorrow. The Promo's may end or not. Keep your eyes open.
 -Keep up the maintenance of the clusters and A frames they have been cleaned up!!!!!

I would like to just add that... I'm somewhat disappointed with our team at the moment. We all had such great vibe.. What happened?? Since when do we miss mystery shop points at the wrap?? TIGHTEN UP!!!! You guys are such all stars. The attitudes and sass must stop. The lateness, Half closing and lazy back stocking. Just know that it is being noticed. ITS GETTING OLD!!!! IT MUST STOP!!!! I will be having sit downs with you the next two weeks.

And it goes a lil' sumthin' like dis!!!!!!

As your Team Leader stated... We ended last week up 21% Company ended down 11%. We were the only department that actually Comped really well. Besides MACC. Also, we were the only Wacc department in our district to have such a positive Comp. I want to say thank you to all of you. This couldn't have been done without YOU ALL!!! Keep up the good work!!! We can't and won't stop!!!!

Directives for this week!!!!!
-Now, I will say. That I am slightly disappointed in the team. For NOT COMPLETING ALL THE DIRECTIVES FROM LAST WEEK!!! I would like to know why it was not completed.

-The Wacc Cluster----- All Housewares needs to come out the cluster. Wallets spreaded throughout the pie piece. Fill that Jewelry!!! The sale was extended through the 18th.

-Sunglasses------ Keep filling those puppies!!!! A good close out would be beautiful!!!

-The Wacc Wall in zone 2------ The sale flats that I asked to be place in a bin.. Needs to go first thing tomorrow after shipment. Also, add the BDG pointy skimmer with the DO studded flats.

-We will be making the Hat display in the Shoe Lounge all Hats.. While display shoes are housed on the tables. While cleaning up the boxes in the lounge. Extended through the 18th.

WE WILL BE ADDING MEN'S TOMS TO THE WACC TOMS WALL. TO MAKE IT LOOK FULL!!! SIZES 7-8 ONLY!!!!!! DUE TO US NOT HAVING ANYMORE. IF REPLENISHMENT COMES IN TOMORROW... THEN THOSE WILL GO OUT!!! LETS JUST HOPE!!!!!

I moved the Ecote' backpacks back upstairs. We didn't sell any at all. I moved the Bizarre ones downstairs.

Sandals also got an extension through the 18th.. We will move the lesser quantites down below. While adding the Ecote thong sandals. Also, this needs a clean up. Correct hooks and neat PEG's.

All of our markdown's were completed.... All sale needs to get pulled off the floor.

Getting Down to Business...

WACC killed it last week. We ended up +21%!! vs company which was down -11%!! WOOOOOOOOOO! Go us. We are also the only department that beat company and that was up! I want to thank everyone, and a special shout out to my openers last week! Elle, Liz, and Aniysa I'm looking at you guys!

Some of our top classes this week: 157 scarves up +80%, 158 sunglasses up +110%, 164!! beauty up +77%, 151 HANDBAGS UP +12%!!!! :D, 311 casual shoes up +33%, and 315 athletics (duh, thanks TOMS) up +1,035%.

Classes that were down/need work: 152 hats -45%, 161, 162, 163 (earrings, necklaces, and other jewelry) were all down! This was a bummer because we were up in all jewelry classes last week :(, 150 travel bags (backpacks) -47%, 155 belts -3%.

Overall a pretty great week. So let's keep up the hard work and keep it moving!

Sunday 6/10

This morning was spent FILLING! And fill, I did! I filled casual shoes, sandals, jewelry, bags, and scarves. I put out more sale jewelry and processed some full priced jewelry to replenish the floor with. I re-vamped the A-Frame in zone 1 and cleaned it up a bit. Lets keep these A-Frames filled! Lets reallllllly push this jewelry til this promo ends!

I'll update tomorrow with some business information and weekly numbers. Until then, I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I understand that we don't have many socks. Get them on the floor!!! If we just need to have one row of socks.. Add another row of Opagues or Floral. P.S.. The Floral socks in the box are now on sale.

The Canvas Lace Ups.... I KEEP STRESSING ONLY 3 ON EACH PEG!!! It gets dismantled after adding 5 or 6 shoes on the Peg. EACH PEG NEEDS TO GET REPLACED!!! Fill those Lace Ups!!!

DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THOSE TOMS!!!!! -ANIYSA, WILL GET YOU!!!! FILL THOSE TOM'S!!!

The shoe wall that houses are display shoes. Needs all fresh new styles from this week and last on the wall. Pull any doubles and Triples and put them in the bin in back stock. Where we have them. Anni or Janine will show you.

Wacc Cluster---- ALL HOUSEWARES NEED TO COME OUT AND OFF THE CLUSTER. SPREAD THOSE WALLETS (SMALL GOODS) THROUGHOUT THE PIE PIECE.

Cami's ----- Those are moving downstairs!!! While, the table should on have Bras, For the moment.

SANDALS SANDALS SANDALS!!! The A frame in zone 2 is getting light. While we have an FULL PROGRAM of the Ecote thong sandal... Black, Mint, Coral, Brown, Lt Brown thongs. They can come up and go on the A frame. CLEAN AND PRETTY WITH THE CORRECT SHOE HOOKS!

FOR MENS 6/2

Hey guys! It feels like a LOOOONG night, so tonight I'm going to get straight to business. I came in at three this afternoon and when I spoke to Seth we agreed to leave unplaced shipment and the new markdowns and furthers till tomorrow. Thus, Tony when you come in tomorrow afternoon please don't be suprised that what we initially discussed completing today did not get touched; instead we focused on standards. Seth worked on BOARD, not air or box, or whatever has been going on, folding graphics and up until 7:30 I worked on refolding basics with the help of Christine and Tyler (Thanx Guys!). However, with our ultimate priority being custimer service I'm sad to say we only got through half of one of the basic tables and Seth only got through a couple stacks of graphics. An important part of the look of the floor is also the denim bar and the hanging shelves of denim. Everyone, please take a look. If one of us does not know how to fold the denim the way I have done it please ask a manager or Nico; I would like the denim to look like this every night if possible. If we are consistently closing and maintaining in accordance to standards we are only going to make things easier for ourselves. I don't work tomorrow, but I close Thursday night, so I will be looking out to see that the work that got done tonight is being maintained and improved on. With that said tomorrow let us continue to board fold the graphic and bacis tables as much as we can. Thanks Guys. Have a good night. And happy Thursday!

Hey guys..

so it's been a while :) but I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!


it was pretty slow tonight. nothing exciting. just a good amount of returns. The close was pretty mellow. I did leave a bag of wacc at the cashwrap bc Seth said not to worry about it. 
Also since I am out of school now if anyone needs me to cover a shift just hit me up! I will try to take as many shifts as I can.

FOR MEN'S!

Hello Men's! Let me first say that I am super excited to be working with everyone on the Men's team. I know my time here will be nothing but an experience. I am happy to say that my first day went well and I think I exaggerated what it's like to be down here alone.....the isolation isn't that bad. Tony opened for us this morning and he did me a true solid by providing me with a thorough walk through of what we got in shipment, what he placed and what was left to be done. I believe we got in 52 (insane) boxes today, a lot of which is Men's and MACC. I am not sure all of what we got in, but I am sure Tony blogged about that and I am going to look out for today's samples before I leave. I worked on the low Insight bench, placing the new brown shorts, orange shorts and the new botton down short sleeve shirts. I also folded down some graphics and tried to rework and fill the underwear a-frame. In addition, Tony left me some tanks to quarter fold and those have been completed. We got markdowns and furthers today. I find that these are easier to complete in the earlier hours of the day, so while I would love to take the responsibility for them, I'm closing up until Saturday. Therefore, we all need to be mindful of them and we need to make their completion a team effort. I am going to leave the manifest in the office; based on how busy it is tomorrow until 10 and then after 10 please take a look at it, try to get some done and then PUT IT BACK IN THE OFFICE.   Peter is our closer tonight, and being that it has been rather slow today, I anticipate a relatively smooth and quick close. I just have one note about basics; I hope that we are board folding basics from the moment we recieve them, because I have found some weirdly shaped folds that don't look right. Board folding the basics makes it a hundred times easier to air fold, so lets be mindful of that. Other than that we are up 9 in Mens and I think we're up a good deal in MAC as well. Keep up the good work!

Sunday's close....

Sunday's close went amazing! It was me (Aniysa), Jacob, Christine, Carly, Savion, and Lindsey. I counted money for the first time, and we all finished closing down the store way before 10 pm. We all worked as a team, and our early departure reflected that. The only downside to our day/night was a guy named Andrew. He is a pretentious, and tacky human being that tried to steal from us today- but Lindsey put a stop to that! WACC is up 7%! WOOHOO! :D The past two mornings I have focused on filling. I filled: bags, jewelry, TOMS, scarves, and casual shoes (skippies, skimmers, and sandals). I cleaned up the A-Frame in Zone 2. The rest of my morning has been spent processing jewelry. There is ALWAYS jewelry to go out on the floor. Please never be at the cash wrap during the morning/day with nothing to do. Simply ask your floor sup if you can grab some jewelry out of backstock.

Side Notes:

1. The backstock is so clean and organized right now thanks to Janine. So shout out to her again for helping us out. She rules. Seriously though it's glistening it looks so good. ;) Lets KEEP it that way.
2. Make sure we are asking customers for ALL their information when returning without a receipt.
3. If you have a shady return we are allowed to deny it. Please do not accept anything that has ripped tags, holes in the item, or is an Around the World item without a receipt. IMMEDIATELY call your floor sup so they can deny the return for you, and properly handle the customer.
4. Mystery shop standards for cash wrap: apologize if the customer had to wait in line (yes, this is on the mystery shop), ask for email/zip, and assist in everyway possible. Remember to be sincere!
5. Please remember to do the EAS every morning!
