Saturday

This morning I worked on swapping the BDG platform sale shoes with the peeptoe skimmers. Now the skimmers are more visible, and hopefully when people come down the stairs it will draw more ladies in. I also filled the platform sneakers. Kat came in at 8 and worked on jewelry. She finished processing the jewelry from this week yesterday. Today she worked on re-pegging th jewelry frame and cleaning that up. Its really starting to look great, and our jewelry numbers are showing that!!

I also worked on filling intimates. I really want to try to get out the Brooklyn bra tops, we have soo many!! I filled panties, hanging bras, and the bandeaus. I also filled WACC sale bags a bit. Those triguesset bags are on sale for 9.99 and we still have quite a few left in brown.

Other then that, i've just been working on trying to keep the cash wrap clean because Kat cleaned it up yesterday. It's been a slow morning so we're focusing on customer service so the people who do come in can leave with a bunch of good merch.

Tomorrow we're working on sale nail polish/the stanchions, velocitizing small good, and filling (per usual!)
Everyone say hello to the new member of WACC, Emily, a transfer from Florida Memphis! !

Torrential

Hey guys. It was another busy day. We got shipment again today since Monday is a holiday, and though they are processed and placed, the surplus is sitting in bs waiting for homes in bays. Other than processing shipment, I worked on sunglasses my last hour and, with the help of Janine, completed processing the online returns.

In Great News: Congratulations Leslie! Leslie is our new Women's team lead, so congratulate her when you see her.

Directives

Friday: The cash wrap needs some TLC. Please gut the cash wrap. This means: organizing the drawers, the shelving, and removing ALL product from the registers and the pull out drawers. I would then work on any skuless items and direct returns that are to be processed. NO ONE should be adding to these baskets.

Directives:

  • The jewelry frame is going to become all necklaces. Any earrings or other jewelry on the frame will be moved onto the wacc cluster. The cluster itself needs to be filled and ALL the jewelry needs to be processed. We've been getting behind on that. Jewelry should really have a 24 hour turn out which means within 24 hours it should be on the floor. Our jewelry makes us well over $1,00 every week.
  • The front of the jewelry frame will be velocity necklaces.
  • The knotted turbans will go on the front of the maxi/hair accessories rack onto the spindles.
  • The stanchions will become sale nail polish in six of the boxes while the other six next to it will become grab and go beauty products.
  • Small goods is to get velocitized and at eye level on the frame.
  • The companion pouch and the ecote tassel bag will be swapped from the back of the vignette to the front of the small goods frame.
  • Tights will go on the socks frame underneath the socks. Socks will get consolidated.
  • Markdowns this week. Firsts & furthers!! We got some good stuff that got marked down and most of it went to very affordable price points.
  • The linen skimmers will get re-stacked so it's whole rows of shoes as opposed to every other peg being a different style.
  • The BDG platform sneakers will switch with the open toe peep skimmers. The skimmers are a nicer presentation and will also draw more people into the frames.
I will update later with weekend direction depending on how much Abby and I can get done today. Hopefully we can also work on processing some of that jewelry tonight.

Halp

We had two call outs/no shows today, so ontop of beating the day (woo!) we had our work cut out for us.
The closing team only consisted of three employees plus a manager,  so needless to say it did not end in a close to perfection. I honestly spent the majority of my time helping the Women's floor regain shape.

Abby, I didn't get a chance to process most of the unprocessed runs in that WACC basket. There's dozens in there, and my tired brain doesn't remember the reason that so many runs were left unprocessed over the course of the day/night they appeared, but I was of the understanding that we weren't going to "go there" anymore. With a busy day/night it really isn't too possible to process all of the returns we get + 20+ unprocessed runs from days before, so let's keep those happenings to a minimum to avoid an invevitable build up.
There are also about 4 boxes of shoes that appeared at the end of the close, and I put those in the drawers in the wrap. My apologies for not getting to run them down to BS, the night was dragging down.

As far as filling, the new/replen headbands we got in could definitely use a place since they're low, as well as nail polish, statement rings near the cluster, necklaces, and bracelets (there's a whole glass dish that's empty that should be filled).

Im off until Friday, so keep a girl (and team) updated!

Trippy Tueday

Hi dolls! Happy Tuesday! We got a lot of shipment today, three boxes of boxed shoes, multiple boxes of TOMS, two regular sized boxes of the KB skimmers etc. I was able to process everything but some new and replen head bands, but, besides the boxed shoes and most of the TOMS, all of our shipment from yesterday and today are sitting outside our bays. I do everything I can to make sure our shipment is ready for the floor and back stock, but I can't get into back stock to make sure its not in disarray, which it is quickly approaching. I forgot to mention yesterday that we have markdowns this week. However, I'm sure I won't get to it till Thursday. You guys have a great night!

Post pyschotic sale

Hey guys! We had a super clean this morning, so although I got in at 8, a little after 9 we wrapped up shipment in order to clean. I didn't really begin in any order, but I started in backstock, trying to figure out some of the randomness. Someone pulled a couple bins from the bays and left them out. So I put those back into the bays, moved a couple baskets of hats out of the inner bays and placed them at the very top to make room for bins of merchandise. I also pulled some sale shoes and sale bags to the floor and then moved the two full priced bags that were laying in open spaces in the rolling bay to the bag bay. When I came in, the hangers were overflowing at the cash wrap and in the break room. Thus, I started by pulling shopping bags to fill at the cash wrap but also to get rid of a lot of the card board in the break room, which cleared up all the floor space in front of the full hanger bars, and consequently made them more accessible. With a little consolidation, I made room for more hangers and hanger bars, before Leslie took over and put all the hangers from the wrap and those that were laying on the floor and loosely hanging onto hanger bars into the hanger organizers. After filling bags, I dusted and clorox-wiped all the surfaces at the wrap and swept. We didn't get too much shipment today (and for the most part they were all replen), although it seemed like a lot  because so much was packed in small boxes, and I was able to finish processing all but one box of panties and replen sandals.

Imortant info: We have new cycle counts on the mini Instax fuji cameras, the women's black bdg twig midrise denim and a men's item that wasn't announced but which I will figure out tomorrow. So look out for that.

I hope everyone had a great weekend

Love, abby

Womp Womp Womp

Rain. Sale. Rain. Sale. Two of my faaaavorite things.

I was at the wrap all day after opening. This morning I filled WACC sale to the brim and filled sunglasses as well as spot filling the floor. The rest is history. There were constantly lines to the Fits of customers so I'm hoping we made our day. WACC is currently down 1% if I'm correct, so we must be sure to ge the floor back up to full ASAP. Sunglasses could always use a good fill, as well as nail polish and beauty. Earrings are low and could also use a filling.

Be sure to check velocity to see where are numbers stand as far as specific items to focus on and what not.

I was also working on a basket of skuless today, so that needs to be finished up and should still be at the wrap (hopefully brought down to backstock or left secured at the wrap with a nice little note.)

I hope the close goes well. Monday's the start of a new (work) week, so let's kick the floor into shape.

See you Tuesday

We Played Hang-Man

Well, rather, the customers played hang-man with all of our heads.
Another insane night  of the 50% off sale.
On the plus side, we beat goal....wooooo!

Downside was that we hit it out of the park and the results were more than apparent.
We have a ridiculous overflow of hangers because clothes are flying off the racks. There's a bunch at the cwrap and on a rolling rack simply because it was a tossup between turning the breakroom into a zoo of hangers or leaving them in a controlled place at the wrap; Leslie and I decided on the latter.

We had several MPOS orders and a constant, heavy flow of traffic. Leslie and I switched between the floor and the wrap, both of us spending the majority of our time at CashWrap backing up and ringing, ending with myself fulfilling the WACC runs and tidying and Leslie pulling pins and holds, later jumping into the remainder of cashwrap runs and sale, which the entire team (Chaun, Lauren, Kyle, Nick) collectively worked on.

It's in no way perfect. But it's done, and to the relative best of our abilities, getting us out around 11:10 with Cedric holding down the floor and Charley holding down the office.

The floor is soooooooooo low. Openers must fill fill fill (Women's, particurally DENIM and SALE, of course), and if there are any sale bags/accessories left, pleaaase get them onto the floor! Customers are constantly grabbing every marked down bag they can get their hands on, and Sneaker Wedges are a popular shoe, so if they're in the back, put 'em out!

I open Sunday, so yas.

-Christine

I said...No, No, No!

50% off sale kick off has left me low, down trodden, angry, frustrated, confused, and lost.....

But mostly tired.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed on my end (to speak for myself) of the close today. There was a boat load of runs and the store was a hurricane all the way up until close. People are merciless for a good sale and it definitely showed. So I'd like to take now to apologize in advance for WACC not looking it's tip-topiest at all. I did my best to touch up and run in a timely manner, but sale and the floor needed a whole lot of TLC and I didn't get to standardize nearly as much as I would have liked to.

I close again tomorrow and I'm hoping for a few more hands to help the day run smooth and controlled to the best of its ability.

SALE. yay!!!

hey guys! So outside of shipment I came super close to completing mark downs on the floor and in back stock. All we have left is a couple of wallets and one boxed shoe. Today is Tuesday, so we got a new slant. Starting Thursday through Sunday we are going to have a 50% off sale sale. So prepare for that.

Have a good night guys!

5/13

Hey guys! So there is a way to combine all of our classes' numbers to determine whether we are generally up, but I don't know how to calculate it, so I won't report on how we did as a department. However, the class departments remain simple. We ended up in hair accessories, beauty, necklaces, hand bags and wallets, other jewelry and we were down in everything else.

We didn't get too much shipment today. I filled TOMS this morning and processed a constant stream of returns. And, although we have mark downs this week, I didn't have the time to start them, so I will do so tomorrow.

Ill be in in the morning.

Son today

Umm so I came in today for a 10-4, yeah that's right Mario was at work before noon. 😏 Nothing too crazy in the beginning. It was slow, I trained Lauren and Chaun at the wrap today. Let's tried my best to be the teacher and let the students learn. I showed them everything I know, let them know how to provide proper customer service at the cash wrap. They are both smart girls and they caught on quick. I believe they just need to learn how to navigate the sku books. That's all I didn't get up too. Towards the end of their shifts it started getting busy. Kat and I held down the wrap as best we could. We had alot of returns today.

Keep providing excellent customer service , pull and separate pins n tags, keep our area clean. Later everyone.

What Could Have Been D-Day!

Hey WACC, today was a bit hecetic.

We were due to have a big visit that everyone was hustling to top the final touches on. The cashwrap remained clear of  runs for about the first 5 hours of my day (any return we got, I processed, and every go-back hung and ran). Towards the latter half it became a bit more difficult to keep every item off the wrap, particurally with pack and ship floating around throughout the day.

As it turned out, we didn't get our much anticipated visit. But that doesn't mean that every day shouldn't be treated as if it's visit day! It's taxing and frustrated to have days, hours, and minutes of hard word not end so anti-climatic, but these things do happen.

That said, this morning I filled panties, placed the on velocity straw panama hat and striped black and white scarf, filled/placed the BDG beanies in olive and black, spot filled scarves, TOMs, and hung some new bandeaus in their wall. There's still quite a bit in the "Fills for Friday" Bin in backstock, but with all of the work that went into making today run relatively smoothely, it wasn't possible to get every item out of that bin.

WACC and MACC were the only two sectors to be up today, so big ups to our team! We're definitely going to end the week up. Sunnies are flying off the wall (so fill 'em when you can) and nail polish is, as always, a hot item. Midi and regular rings are also a top sellar.

Final notes:

1. I open tomorrow so I'll keep filling from the Friday bin/continue my directives.
2. CLOSERS: Please please pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase sepearate hard tags and pins. Not only is it a biotch to reach your hand into a bag of pins when your looking for a hard tag, it's an even BIGGER biotch to have to detatch each and every pin from a hard tag when they're all thrown in there together like one big mess. Not cool and very time consuming. I couldn't even seperate all of them so hopefully someone else can or else that's going to go to waste.

There's a bin of those pins at the wrap.

As always, pull holds, dime out your dime outs, and keep it clean.

See ya tomorrow.~

VISIT TOMORROW

Hey guys. Due to the weather, the day started off very slowly. I spent my morning I pulling and boxing  all the dime out tights from the wall and the fitting room. At the end of my shift I put a make shift "All Sunglasses $10 sign on the mirror above the sunglasses. The sign is huge! I'm sure we'll figure out better placement for it, but it got surprisingly bright by about 2/3, and I hoped we could make some sales. Our visit is tomorrow. Sandra spent some time with us today making sure we are ready for tomorrow.

See you guys in a couple hours.

Quick Tips

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while and this is going to be a quickie. I just want to update us all on some important information.
1. We had cycle counts this week; a women's tube-top dress, the men's All-Son camos, and a pair of ear phones. We are under one in the dress and three in the camos. The earphones are perfect.

2. We got an 89.3 on our mystery shop, we lost points in the fitting room and the shoe lounge. So, take a loot at it. There will be a few changes to the mystery shop as well. There will no longer be bonus points, everything will round up to 100, and we are now required to give our names when we room customers in the fits. This weirded me out simply because I thought it would sound way too rehearsed; however I was eased at Cedric's suggestion: "Here you are, my name's Abby if you need anything". Not that bad right?

3. Last years shrink result was 2.48. Our GOAL for THIS YEAR is 1.90. YAY!!! We finally have a goal

4. Lastly, as Christine has already noted, all sunglasses will be $10 starting tomorrow, Thursday.

This morning Anni and I worked on organizing the bays. This week each team had had the chance to neatly reorganize its bay, today was ours. Anni was on her own after 10, when I headed up to the reg, but I'm sure she got a lot done.

Have a Wonderful Night!!!! Until tomorrow

BACKSTOCK / FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Wednesday: I spent my day in backstock. With the help of Abby and Garrett we were able to finish it all! The only thing left to do is move the BDG platform outstock shoes from the back of the womens bay to the stand alone bay. They will go on the bottom two shelves. Other then that the boxed shoes could be tidied up but that's about it. EVERY bin is labeled. Please, if you have anything of WACC to go back there, for the love of god place it in the appropriate bin.

Thursday: Abby please try to spend your morning on that tight wall. I really don't want those dime outs to stay out there any longer. If time permits, continue on the tights in the FR (the ones on the bench haven't been scanned). I reallllly don't want it to be two weeks for us to complete these dime outs. Other then that please spot fill. The 'magic wallets' also will go where the ID wallet is in the stanchion so if you can please switch those out as well. The sunglasses promo begins today. Please make sure to fill the sunnies, and add appropriate signage to the peg board. Let's sell through these bad boys..

Friday: Christine, I left a bin of fills in backstock for you. It's a lot of bras, so perhaps start on that first. The bandeaus need to get hung and worked into the voop bra wall next to the panties. If you need lingerie bottom hangers there are some ontop of the lockers in the break room. There is also a black and white scarf, and a hat in there that are yet to be placed. Please ask Morgin for help on placing these. That B&W scarf is on velocity and was pulled from the floor so I'd like to see it get worked back out. The hat is also on velocity. ;)

Saturday: SPOT FILL! Pleaseeee! Utilize your first hour to walk the floor and pull fills. Pay extra attention to: TOMS (in the upstairs FR), sunglasses, beauty, scarves, and bags. Try not to task too hard after 11-12. I'm sure the customers will keep you busy enough. Just PLEASE spot fill that floor while Abby and I aren't here.

As of today, WACC is up +27%.. PLEASE lets keep it this way. FILL YOUR FLOOR, SPEAK FOR OUR PRODUCT, CLOSE OUT FIXTURES PROPERLY. COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. I'M GOING TO BE SOOOOOOOOOOO UPSET IF I COME BACK AND WE'RE DOWN (UNLESS WE HAD CONSECUTIVE BAD DAYS ON A STORE LEVEL IE, DOWN AS A STORE A FEW DAYS IN A ROW).

Everyone have a great weekend!!
I will see you all Tuesday!
Anni

When in doubt, fill 'er up!

I feel like that title sounds kinda dirty, oops! Anyway, I worked a mid from 1 to 7 yesterday. Abby coursed around back stock to do her WACC biz while I maintained the wrap. She instructed that beauty was to be filled today because that's what was out and (today) would be WACCs turn for a back stock overhaul. I filled nail polish once again, but it's a big seller so whenever and if ever either polish section gets low....fiiiiill. If ever you don't have specific projects/directives....fiiiiill! WACC is up, let's keep it that way.

Also, the new SLANT is up. Read it so you know about new and ending promos. Knowing your promotions helps moves the lines along and...what doyaknow, fights register fraud so you're charging the customers what they owe and not a dime more or less! Because those who frequent the store will definitely come back for their price adjustment.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT PROMO THAT BEGINS ON THURSDAY, 5/9:

Mens and Womens Sunglasses are now $10 dollars! This promo will likely bring in a whole slew of sunnies sales, so push push push and check the Slant for applicable signage.

See yas Thursday,
Christine

Post It Like A Note

Hey WACC Team
I'm officially one of you. And I can post. On my own. No more invading other posts like that unwanted friend Leslie mentioned earlier.

My day isn't over until 4 (totes going to feel like forever, I opted to go vegan today and my stomach isn't thanking me). I've filled nail polish. I cleaned, and it's already dust bunny central again. We need more red(s) and warm(s) to make a complete shelving in the 2 for $8 promo frame, but I'm pretty sure they've sold out. Most of the brown boxes from le office that I've opened are some sort of metallic or green so ya.

I'm going to try and continue spot filling as the day progresses. We've got a bit of backup so hopefully I'll be able to move about the floor and what not. I'll keep ya posted. Liz filled the frigg. outta TOMS yesterday, so that doesn't need to be attended to anymore.

PSPS: The stantions/frames/clusters looked a bit wonky this morning. Make sure we're closing out that wrap well so it's easier to fill without having to maintain much.

PSPSPS: Definitely bought those adorable bunny studs today. In love.

May the Fourth be with you

Ayo and I'm back with some lovely cashwrap tips:
-if you sell shoes and the customer does not want to take the box, please write "sold" on the box. That way if you don't get to trash it right away, there are no questions as to where the shoes have gone.
-pull expired holds at close
-greet customers like they haven't been greeted yet
-as christine mentioned, check the stanchions (def my b this time) keep openers in mind when you're closing
-take hangers down
-make sure you check all the dept run baskets AND the damages and dimeouts. Try and make sure that the merch in the basket are already processed and signed off by a manager, at least by the end of your shift. If not, pass on info to your fellow WACC member(s) **which reminds me there is a pair of sunglasses I found at the end of my shift. No sku but there are more in men's.
-leave a note! When all else fails, leave a note so the next person doesn't wonder what the rando pile of necklaces are. They're most likely tangled but you get it.

Feel free to add more tips to this. Also, once more, anni has posted a closing check list at the wrap. If you don't know, ask!
Love les

Welp. I broke the cashwrap.

Hiiiiii! Ok I'm being a bit dramatic. A bit. Soooo I had some trouble dropping pins last night. The drawer thing at reg 4 has a pin stuck in a weird place so I had trouble sliding the shelving back in. And then there's a screw that keeps the shelving there so i couldn't just remove it. Thus the drawer thing is kinda just there, hanging out like that needy friend you didn't really want to invite out because that friend is kind of a bummer. I'm sorry. I tried to force it out and jam it in...none of the methods were working and I really didn't have much time to strong man it out. Perhaps this can be project one for the day? K love youssss. I shall blog once more with other pertinent info.

Friday/Saturday

I moved the sandals up to the runway this morning. I re-did the shoe lounge wall so now our skippies and mary janes are out. I did not have the chance to continue with dime outs today. Hopefully if I have any free time tomorrow I can finish up the tights. I also scanned through sale and filled that bit while I was in mens my first two hours. I also filled some MACC socks (heeeeeeey shared fate yall!). Christine worked on filling beauty, sunglasses, and jewelry. I began hard tagging the seamless bras but did not get to finish due to the amount of people on the floor. I can't stay in that back lingerie corner for too long because I feel like I'm hiding back there.

Saturday: PLEASE fill TOMS. Fill Nail polish and the back of the beauty frame. Walk the floor for any other spot fills. Please try to keep the wrap as clean as you can through out the day. Blog about your filling ventures. :)

Thursday

Hey guys. I started the day by filling panties and getting some more styles of bandeaus out onto the intimates wall. And....I thought I was finished with bundling our panties and bras, but of course, at the bottom of an inconspicuous bin, I found more bras. However, I am hoping that these are the last. Filling panties is incredibly easy now. You just grab a bundle, unfold it and lay it out. No more searching for panties that are the same style, or taking extra time to size and lay them out. While at the cash wrap I "completed" organizing panties and bras and my last two hours were spent in BS cleaning up, back stocking shipment from this week, boxing dime outs and just whipping that ish into shape! I didn't touch the tights because I knew that wall would turn into an empty headache and because I thought it more important to get our back stock area into shape.

Fills: Hey guys we need to fill everything!!! Outstock shoes (if we can), sandals, sunglasses, beauty, jewelry. Anni has a sandal move to make tomorrow and Christine is our opener, so I'm sure they'll communicate. Sandals and sunglasses can be filled from the wrap.

See you guys tomorrow

Dime outs / Thursday

I got through all the bins in back stock. I moved onto the tights and almost all of them are dime outs. I left off in the back FR with the tights. The ones on the back wall haven't been scanned. The one tray all alone is the only full priced I had found so far. I haven't scanned through the tights on the floor yet, or the sale section. We also have some jewelry dime outs as well. Please continue working on this. The bras can be worked on at the cashwrap. Just ask your floor sup for temporary coverage to run them downstairs.

Sunglasses also need to get filled pretty badly. I come in at 9 on Friday and will be working on this sandal move. But blog about where ever you leave off.

Whew.
Ok see you Friday!

Munday

First day back in about two weeks, took me 5minutes to remember my password... But I got it.

Was slow most of my shift (4-cl). Put out a pair of glasses that Anni asked me to, rang some people up the good ole cash wrap way. Pulled pins+hardtags got rid of those pesky old runs. Straighten up the cluster n fixed the sandals in the bins. Helped close out the floor. And that's all folks.

Hope you all had a great day. im bout to get off the train so i can post this.

Yay time for me to make this 15block walk home.

Weekly Directives

We ended last week -2%.. Overall I was pretty dissapointed at how the department operated without  me over the course of the last 4 days. I know for a fact that had ANYONE taken the initiative to fill the floor (or complete directives) we would have comp'd. This concerns me for next week as well because I will be gone five days.. There should be no reason that WACC falls apart completely because one person is absent.

Overall we comp'd in MOST classes but we lost monetary value, which I think is a direct result of having a light floor. Moving on..

  • We have mark downs this week (firsts) and we have dime outs which will be continously worked on through out Tuesday-Thursday.
  • The TOMS in backstock need to come up to the handicapped fitting room in the back. We will be re-organizing the bins by color before they go back there. This will make them easy to fill AND easier to check sizes. I will work on this Tuesday.
  • The a-frames downstairs are super light. The crochet KB flats ill go with the linen skimmers on the front of the a-frame. The peeptoe skimmer will go where the platform sneakers are. The platform sneakers will go on the front of the second a-frame. The socks are going to be moved over to the back of the second a-frame. BELTS will go where the socks were near back stock. I will be working on this Wednesday.
  • The sandals in the SL STILL need to get moved to the runway. The canvas skippies and mary janes are coming out of back stock into baskets in the SL. I will dedicated my Friday morning to this. Christine, who is our Friday opener will help prep the new baskets to go on the floor.
  • The floral scarf in the wall near the stairs that comes in 3 colors needs to get worked into the SL shelving when we re-do the wall on Friday.
  • The blossom lip gloss will come out of the beauty a-frame and go into a bowl on the hair accessories rack. Please work on this Thursday. We can take the skull bracelets and work them onto the spindles to create a bowl for the lip glosses.
  • The Aloha ring will make it's way to the cash wrap boxes. Please work on this Thursday.
  • The around the world watches will get lanyard tagged. Please work on this Thursday.
  • The seamless bras still have to get hard tagged. We are also going to get out the other bandeaus that are not on the floor, the two lace styles. Please work on this on Thursday. There are lingerie bottom hangers in abox in the break room. The voop wall should be seamless bras, then a row going across of one style, and the third row on the bottom should house the third color.
  • Saturday, Christine is our opener again. Please walk your floor and FILL for the love of god. Make sure to peep the TOMS in the back FR too..
Please leave communication on what you guys could and could not finish.

And while we're at it.. EVERYONE WELCOME CHRISTINE TO WACC.!!!!! I hope you guys are as excited as I am to bring her on!!

Needless to say, FILL FILL FILL.

Weekend Directives

Friday: The baskets of sandals in the shoe lounge need to get moved upstairs to the runway shelving. The shoe lounge will turn into new baskets full of Mary Janes and canvas skippies.

Saturday: please fill full priced TOMs, also please pull the sale TOMs from the floor and back stock them with the other sale toms. They are near the shoe bay in back stock.

Please also lanyard tag the watches on the frame. Ask your floor sup if you can't find enough lanyard tags.

The seamless bandeaus are going to Elbe getting hard tagged from now on so we can start on that as well.. Ask your floor sup to grab them from the wall a handful or so at a time.

Remember to blog guys!!
Have a great weekend team!!
Hold it down for me while I'm gone!

Store info

Hey guys! When I came in today most of the shipment had been processed. I spent most of my shift trying to get everything out and organized. We got some new $6 pouches in some new colors and prints, replen in panties and two new colors in the zig zag thong. We also got a new metallic color in the kb  wooden platform sandals and a cute beaded thong sandal in three colors.

Update: So yesterday I told you guys about this weeks cycle count items. The TMD graphic actually has an image of an elephant on it and as of early this morning we are perfect expect for one or two missing koto pocket tees. When I get the numerical result I will let you all know again. I also mentioned that Sandra came yesterday. During her visit she conducted and Op's assessment. We got a 75. We missed cashwrap cleanliness, obviously my fault since I was processing shipment all day, and our floor supervision. So, for us, and mostly for me, we have to try and make sure our projects are always contained. Unfortunately, just getting things done isn't enough, I have to figure how to get things done without it being obvious. The only suggestion I can make is for there to only be one project at the wrap at a time. I will try this approach next week.

Have a good night!

Things to Know

Hey guys! Sorry about not posting last night. There wasn't anything big to report, and I would say the same for today. We are doing very well this week however, as a department and store wise. Double digit comps are always great. Sandra and Cara stopped in this morning, and Sandra was with us even as I was leaving after 5 today. We all know that when we get visits we have to be especially well behaved and well informed. However, I know that before I was a lead, neither I or any manager ever prioritized store knowledge, unless we were about to have a visit. I don't think that's completely fair or successful so whenever I can/remember I will post all of the important info that tends to come up in opening meetings and through out my day. These are fact that we are all expected to know, so cheers to a well informed team.

Important Info I can Recall Today:
1. Cycle counts- Cycle counts are 'mini inventories" we conduct (twice a month? I'll be sure to double check this statement) to help us determine what items we may be losing, where our hot spots are, and through further analysis, what types of loss we are suffering from, which brings us to LOSS, internal, external and paper work
2. What items did we count last cycle? What was our result?- So last cycle we counted the P&N patterned mesh crop top, the men's destroyed Standard Cloth denim and the studded iphone 4 and 4s cases. Our result was -3.59, I believe we counted two extra cases.
3. What items are we counting this week?- This week we are counting the blue TMD muscle tank with the buddah like image on the front. I'm not sure what the actual name is, but I will repost these items again tomorrow with their proper names. We are also counting the men's koto pocket tees and the SAS knit maxi tank dress, which comes in three colors.
4. What was our shrink result from last year?  2.48 %, embarrasing fact, I know what the results from last year are, and I was able to answer Corey without hesitiation when he asked me today, but as I was writing this I forgot. I had to actually call Charley just now and ask. Ooops! Ah well! We'll help each other remember them.

I hope you guys are all having a great week.

Weekly Directives!!

Ended last week +2% vs company -9% (and the only wacc in our district to comp!) Lets keep it up!! Our biggest focus now should be 1) filling and 2) maintence.

Thursday: Abby, please begin with re-doing the tights. I know you wanted to spend your morning filling, but fill after you fix the tights! Leave direction to what you couoldn't fill so Leslie can pick up on it tomorrow. She doesn't come in till 9 on Friday so she won't have time to re-do them. They need to get re-pegged, filled, and signed.

Please fill the casual shoes, ask your opening manager to open 'dashboard' for you in the office to look over what classes are down. I also urge you to use the restock app report on the mobile. I found out today it re-sets every Wednesday, so we have a fresh slate. This will also let us know more color specific items people are buying. Corey, would really like us to get on board with the re-stocking app.

Also, remember the jewelry is in the office to be processed. Begin working on it and pass off to your 2-7.

Friday: Leslie, fill, fill, fill. Use the restocking app and walk your floor. MAJOR FILL DAY. Please see Abbys soon to be blog post about what she didnt get to (and read above) After this, please work on directives below (or processing jewelry.. if it's still unprocessed by Friday)

Saturday: CLEAN UP! Maintence day. Please work on any direction below that has not been completed yet, which will probaby be most of the moves. :)
  • The patterned back pack on the face outs downstairs needs to come upstairs to the front shop.
  • Soft slouchy beanie on the wall near the FR needs to get worked into the picnic table.
  • Force mark all piecey full priced velocity hats.
  • The open weave eternity scarf on the top shelf in the shoe lounge is coming to the runway upstairs where the floral scarf is.
  • Pull velocity necklaces towards the front of the WACC cluster.
  • BOWLSSSS! Morgin and Corey gave me permission to thrift us some beautiful bowls for our cluster so this weekend I will be searching some thrift stores for these bowls! So hopefully within the next week we'll have some new additions to the cluster.
  • CLEAN up of casual shoes/MAJOR fill.
  • Mary janes and canvas skippies will go into baskets in the SL and the sandals will go into the shelving where the back packs are on the run way.
  • MAX out hair accessories maxi rack... and move ugly blue unicorns

FILL, FILL, FILL.

CLEAN, MAINTENCE.

LETS SELL SOME ACCESSORIES YA'LL.

PUSH THAT JEWELRY AND THOSE RINGS.

Anni

Those thieves are getting lazy

Hola mi amor!!

so WACC may have been a bit of a weak close last night, thats on me. we had a call out last night so i stayed til about 10:30 to help the team out. yesterday was a long day. anywho as abby said, all sale housewares marked $19.99 and less are now $1.99. HOLY BANANAS YALL. thats awesome. make sure you spread the word! some customers really have no idea its even happening til you say something...even though there are signs...they tend to ignore those, i guess.
anyway, last night was alright anni, nick, and ally totally had the close under control. dont have anything to say  EXCEPT!!!
LADIES AND DUDE! lets all make sure we are paying close attention to the money being handed to us. last night two girls, possibly teens to early 20's, tried to pay with two VERY fake hundo bills.  first off, they felt like toilet paper. big indicator.  the security strip was hard to read, the coloring was weird AND THEN the water mark was not of our boy benny franklin, but of abraham lincoln. not even abraham lincoln, but what appeared to be bill murray as abraham lincoln.  she gave me this story of receiving it from someone after selling them an xbox on craigslist. she said she even marked it....ummmm kbye i dont care take. your fake money and get outta herrrre.
just be aware. these thieves think theyre smart, but we are so much better than that, my loves! stay professional, but basically let them know we know exactly what theyre trying to pull and it aint working.

also ABBY, i bought stuff. ughhhhhh.

love you guys. off till friday so ill see you all then!

New Server aka No Mo' Paper Receipts!

Hey guys! We got a new server today!!!! YAY! When I was heading out there seemed to be some problems with the new server, but hopefully it was quickly resolved. Shipment was pretty light today, we got two new pairs of toms, and two new colors in two styles of sandals we've had for a while. Spanking new, just in today, these cool bun makers that also create other hair styles and twirled bobbie pins. Everything is out, everything is back stocked. I started working on our mark downs and furthers today, and I was unable to work on panties as I had planned. Truthfully, the panties probably wont get touched until Thursday, and I will try to complete mark downs tomorrow.

We have a new promo sale! All sale housewares $19.99 or less will be force marked to $1.99 for EVERYONE until the 20 somethingth. I'm sorry, I think it is either the 26th or 29th. Take a look at the slant, as I will tomorrow, and if I remember I will post the exact date in tomorrow's post.

"Flinstone Receipts" (Cedric voice)

HI team! Okay, so, today was definitely a less than normal day. The morning started off well; shipment went smoothly, the normal. However, it seems our server was giving some trouble this weekend and it continued to do so today. Thus, for those of you who were here about 2 summers ago, you know that when the server goes down the registers stop working and we revert back to paper receipts . YES, paper! Management was on the phone with home office and IT most of my shift, and though we were able to reconnect, the server crashed again before I left. So, for the most part we went old school.

WACC did fairly well last week. We were up 5. Some of the classes that helped us get there were other jewelry up 48, beauty up 27, handbags and wallets up 22, necklaces up 43, hair accessories up 41, hats up 4 and earrings up 15. Our biggest money makers were other jewelry, handbags and wallets, casual shoes and athletic shoes, even though the last two classes did not comp. Our most dissapointing classes were sunglasses down 41, tights down 79, boots down 553, sandals down 67, and PANTIES down 2337.

Anni made sure that all the shipment went out this morning. I am not sure if she had time to place the socks that came in today, but if she didn't they are still in a WACC box in bs. I actually left two boxes in back stock, but besides the socks they all need to go into the bays.

NOTICE: Back stock cleanliness continues to be a priority, and it seems, a struggle for us, Garrett has worked long and hard getting bs neat and organized, so we simply need to put things where they belong. I noticed that over the weekend we worked on reorganizing the bags and the hats at the very top of our bay, so keep it that way.

This week I would like us to fill panties. There are new styles that should go out and sale should be pulled. I will try my best to get it done myself and I'll update everyone along the way.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Till tomorrow.

Good Night!

HOLY CRAPPOLA

this weekend has been CUHRAYZAY. its getting busy again. YAY! and the weather was lovely. WACC comp'd this week, so woohoo. i came in and filled toms as requested. i didnt get to fill much else because i spent the morning doing runs and cleaning the sales floor. many of our items sold down so plenty of replen for monday morning. both abby and i will be here at 7, though, ill most likely be in womens.

CLOSER: please make sure to pull the umbrellas and put them back in backstock. and also pull the bin of bras in the sale section. please dont forget!

anyway with all the shoppers in here, its been busy and getting a little messy. can we all just make sure we keep the closes tight and run ALL the baskets? this includes the dimeouts and damages basket.
love love love you all. see you in the morning.

Saturday/Sunday

Saturday: Leslie went through and rf'd the belts, filled sale belts, filled sale bags, and cleaned up sale this morning. We also pulled out all the hand bags out of the bag bay and re-organized them. I also pulled all the weird bags on top of the bay (where the hats should be) and added those into the bag wall in the stock room.. Anytime they can't fit take a look at what can be filled. If not much can be filled, it can often be worked in if you just re-do a shelf or two.

Sunday: Please find time to fill TOMS sometime in the morning. The tights will have to wait till I or Abby have some free time on Monday. If time allows in the morning, work on single shoes first. I would like to continue keeping these under control, and I'd like to encorporate it into our weekly Sunday opening procedures.

We're up +11 on the week so lets end Saturday strong!! Watch that sale section!!
:) have a great Sunday.
Don't miss me too much ya'll.

and into the weekend we go

hey dudes,
so today i opened.  abby pretty much took care of that fill list yesterday so i came in and just spot filled.  I also went through the sock bins and audited them... quite a few dimeouts and mark downs. but now ive seperated sale from full price and labelled them.  I also borrowed abby's panty bunching idea and grouped samesie socks together with the help of jasmyne.  thats kinda it. i was in the fitting room for part of my shift so that jasmyne could stay at the wrap, cuz you know, the foot :)  also, dont forget that the baskets for runs are in the cabinets and now the dimeouts and damages are going in baskets in the other cabinets. make sure these are empty at the end of the night! <3

OH AND EXTRA 30% OFF ALL SALE THROUGH MONDAY!!!!!

THURSDAY

Fill list:
  • The festival back pack in the shoe lounge (the one on the shelfing.. please make sure one of each color is stuffed)
  • The Ecote patterned back pack in the SL (in blue)
  • The No Wifey hat in both colors (very important, we've been selling through these pretty quickly)
  • Socks (not much filling needed, but 1-3 light pegs, 1 is almost empty!)
  • BRAS! Please put out any full quantity we have of bras.
  • SALE!! Please put out some 9.99 scarves, pleeeeease there are barely any out. Lets sell down on our sale over the weekend. It's going to be really important we keep a close eye on our sale being filled.
  • Jewelry scale back--- Please work on scaling back some of our necklace quantite that are out. Walk the cluster and frame and make sure no peg is over stuffed or has a significant amount more then the other pegs... Total jewelry lost last year: $10,000. With that being said, if there is any sale jewelry you'd like to pull out for the weekend, i'm totally ok with that... (after the visit, of course, haha)
I'll be in from 7-10 to help walk the floor and look over numbers. After that I'll be free to help with directives.

Sonday

Today was Sunday, a beautiful day once again... Closing shift for me. Work was cool the store was busy had a nice constant flux of customers managed to keep the wrap under control with back up from Jael. Thanks :) rang people up, ordered things, returned things, the usual. We made the day. Tried to make sure it was a good sucessful close I guess ill find out when I come in later to close. I filled some of the TOMS, when it was slow. There are still a few pegs that were light I believe.

Well it's 4:32am n I have work again so I'm going to bed ill see you all when I see you...

Sunnies

Hey peeps and peepers! So a couple weeks ago we got news via the slant that we would be switching over to new sunglasses tags. Today was d-day. So sporadically through out my shift, I worked on transferring the sunglasses that are out from the hard horizontal cards to the new softer vertical tags. Nandi assisted when she came in at 2 as well. That was it. Last night the men's floor got hit again, so we really need to work on our overall store awareness and communication. I'm sure you guys will hear more about it soon. Our closes have been a bit lack luster lately. The shoe lounge and the sandals in the baskets need to be closed out; and we've noted this before, even when the WACC closer doesn't actually close all of WACC, he/she needs to walk WACC to make sure everything is up to par. I'm gonna start calling people out, to their faces and on the blog.

Love Ya'll

By the way tomorrow, 4/5, is Cedric's birthday! Happy birthday Cedi!!!!

Somehow it feels like the week's over.........

Hi loves! Happy Tuesday. I hope you all took advantage of yesterday's beautiful weather, because in comparison its an ice box out there today. April is  b****! But she's like this every year, so deal, layer and make sure you have a bag big enough if you need to strip down. Ok, no more assault on the weather. We only got one box today. They were sandals and some mary janes. The sandals are in a basket with their extended family downstairs in the shoe lounge and I backstocked the marys. We have markdowns this week; all except some bags upstairs and a sandal I didn't recognize have been marked, and that includes back stock. So I started this organization project with panties last week, and I have continued. I am not finished yet, but each day I try to complete a bin. I separated the full priced ones from sale and I have been stacking them like I'm going to put them out and then neatly folding them and rubberbanding them together. Of 3 or 4 bins I have completed 2. I will like to do the same with bras and socks, but I'm taking it one day at a time. CLOSERS! Hey! When you are closing walk your product and make sure everything is in its place! TOMS looked crazy this morning and there were WACC runs in the closet. Let's do better. I think that's all for today. It's a new month so be on your look out and your best behavior for this month's secret shop.

You all have a good night.

Abby

Monday

It was a vey nice day out... I stayed inside though. A crime I know, but I came in for a 7-cl. Closed out it wasn't terribly busy. Finished processing some jewelry for my homie Leslie. Took down dime outs/damages, pulled pins n tags, pulled holds, did runs, helped close out the rest of the floor. We made the day. The day did not make us.

Peace. Love. & Knicks basketball

Yayyy Team!!!

Hey guys! Good week last week! We ended up 15 percent. We had some really strong classes; hair accessories were up 358 percent, bras were up 204 percent, boots were up 245, sandals were up 182, sunglasses were up 141, other jewelry was up and though athletics were only up 9, we made $2900 in athletic shoes. So we ended very well. Some of our usually strong classes, however sort of tanked. Panties were down 100 percent; travel, tights, scarves and casual shoes have been suffering a bit for the past couple weeks and they too are down a bit. We didn't get much shipment today, and I am patting myself on the back a bit here when I say that I got all of the gillion packaged jewelry unpackaged, out and back stocked (well ok, all but the small earring cards, Leslie has to take credit for that). I didn't get any time in backstock today, so there's a box of toms, bras and undies that need to be back stocked. Depending on how much shipment we get tomorrow I will work on back stocking those things first thing.

You all have a great night!

Hiiii

So I opened yesterday and got the directives done and out of the way. Filled tights, tried to put out prettier and lighter looking tights and neatened them up a bit. Filled platform sneakers, sandals and scarves. I filled the nail polish wall and hair accessories. I think those big hair buns could use a light filling. I finished putting out the rest of the jewelry from friday and finished pegging out and filling the back of the cluster. I transferred the "ciao Bella" earrings to the pretty cardstock so that they can hang back there. I moved the lighter necklace from the front of that necklace display wall and switched it out w a heavier, newer chain necklace. There were little random pieces of skuless jewelry floating around the wrap, so i was tagging and putting those out. There may be a straggler or two still at reg 4. Im sorrry! There was also a little baggie of the initial charm bracelets that I left for jael to fill if she got a chance. I think that might be it....oh! Except I just wanna say our bs looks incredible!! Our shoes are in alphabetical order!!! Let's please please please try our best to maintain it! It's just so easy to navigate back there now!! So yeah, we need to keep it clean and remind anyone else that pops in there to keep it nice and tidy.
Love yousss,
Leslie

Saturday direction

Please fill tights and the platform sneakers. Also, continue filling in the back of the jewelry pegs. There's more earrings in the office that's on new card stock. Walk handbags and small goods and make sure both are filled as well.

Thank you!!
Have a great Saturday guys!
Anni

Sunday Opener

Hey! I have a scheduling conflict with UO and one of my other jobs. I've been trying to find someone to cover my shift. I have to be at my other job by 1pm. Wondering if I could leave early or just need help finding someone else to cover me. I guess because it's Easter? Everyone's busy.

I would text you Anni, but I don't have your number.

- Jen

Thursday/Friday

Yesterday I moved the sale ecote back packs into sale and moved the acidy wash looking back packs to the face outs the sale back packs were at.. I filled sale, intimates, and the full priced floor.

Today Leslie and are going to finish processing the rest of the jewelry from this week. Morgin would like us to peg out the back of the peg stands on the wacc cluster so we're going to work on that. Leslie filled sandals and scarves this morning. I helped out with womens shipment this morning (shared fate yall or shared faith as I like to call it.) I also plan on getting out these cute oxfords that have been sitting in backstock for a week now. I plan on putting them on the a-frames down in the shoe lounge. I think the kimchi blue crochet flats can be condensed. Hopefully this will help our casual shoe business because they are closed toe and it's still a bit chilly out. I will leave direction for Saturday sometime tonight, before I leave.

As of right now we're up +9%!!! Woooo, lets keep it up!!
:D

Thursday

Came in at 7 normal closing shift.. Nothing major. I think I may have left a bag of jewelry to go bacc in to the office in the shoe lounge by accident while I was doing runs... Sorry :/ hope you all get to enjoy a bit of the good weather this weekend

Such a B-E-A-U-tiful Day!

Howdy team! Happy almost Friday! Today was a good day. We are up 8 as of yesterday's numbers, so, that's awesome. Our head bands are really selling which is great. The ladies have been excited about these. We didn't have any left over shipment from this week but we did have mark downs. So this morning I started by auditing the undies bins and separated full price panties from sale. Plastic bagging the undies isn't very effective because they break so easily, so I started laying them out, in no particular size order, stacking them and then folding them and rubber banding them. It takes up less space in the bins and it looks so much much neater. However, we were pretty busy today and the stacking and marking down took a while so I only got through one of the two sale bins. I'll continue working on them till the system is complete. During my last hour I rf'd the tights and socks and completed the markdowns. That's all. I close tomorrow.

See you guys!

Many (happy) Returns

YALLLLLLLLL
we had a lot of returns today. that being said, as of 7:30pm, we still seem to be making money, so thats good. dont have much to report.  I was a mid today so abby got most of the shipment out and away from the wrap when i got in.  We were quite busy, definitely has to do with this nice weather we're having. everyone just focus on customer service and push the sales! make sure to offer promos.  If someone has one nail polish make sure you bring up that its 2 for 8 and so on and so forth.  keep the cash wrap clean! das it i think. oh and ABBY! good placement on those smoking animal coin purses! a lot of lil tweens kept saying they were cute and i actually sold one! i mean its only one, but for it being its first day out and it being what it is....thats pretty good. hahaha
loverly yours,
leslie

ps just bought a harem pant suit. yall, this spring/summer season is gonna be cuhrayzay.

Wednesday aka Visit day!

Hey team! I hope everyone is doing well. We didn't fare to badly today in regards to shipment. For the most part we got a ton of TOMS, a new grey on white ikat printed pair, a small number of replen in the solid grey, red and navy pairs and a lot of the black burlap number. We also got a new bag in two printed colors a blue and a cream and tons of jewelry, mostly new styles. Before I left I made sure to bin up all the Toms and back stock the remaining bags. So when I left there was no residual WACC from this morning lying around bs. We got print outs of the color markdowns that I started yesterday. I am most concerned with completing markdowns in the bays because for the most part, aside from socks and undies, I've completed the markdowns on the floor. For the rest of the week my goal will be to finish mark downs. I may bring intimate bins up to the cash wrap for some auditing during the day as well.

See you guys tomorrow!

P.S. Of course, I have no idea what the outcome of today's visit was, but I'm sure we'll de informed. Till next time,

Abby

Tuesday 3/26

Hey guys! Im sorry that this post is so late. So, today I started working on the new color first markdowns. There are a couple pages of belts, shoes, nail polish, hair accessories, wallets, random beauty and socks and tights. I got to all the markdowns on the floor, the boxed shoes in back stock, and some of the out stock shoes in back stock as well. What I didn't get to today I will try and complete tomorrow, especially the socks and tights, since these are two opportunity classes for us. We have a visit tomorrow; Cara and Sandra will be in.

I've noticed that some of our cash wrap "freshman" have been closing lately, please, when passing off to a member of our team or any other team at the cash wrap, please help them out and remind them of cash wrap procedures. Point them to Anni's handy dandy Cash Wrap Closing Checklist. If there is room for hangers in the break room they need to go down, dimeouts and damages need to go to back stock, all the run bins need to be emptied, holds need to be checked etc. As corny as it may sound, help one, help all. Example1: Holds MUST be signed by a manager, if its not we fail our daily ops assessment. Example 2: When we leave things undone at night, we take time away from the openers that they should be using to prepare the store for open. So let's keep these things in mind.

I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully I'll see each of you soon : ) Yesterday was Nandi's birthday. Happy belated !!!!!!

WEEKEND DIRECTIVES

Thursday:
Today I worked on getting the shoes in the shoe lounge back into back stock. The wall in the SL became all sandals in baskets. Some scarves will probably be added, and some sandals taken away to go upstairs.

Friday:
-The socks are going to the back of the bra frame.
-The belts are mostly going into sale beause the majority of them are on sale. RF as we go.
-The TOMS are moving upstairs onto the two a-frames.
-The TOMS wall is going to become tights.
-The frames downstairs are becoming all casual shoes.

Saturday: Please work on jewelry in the morning. We got three new peg stands for the wacc cluster. Morgin began filling them out. If you could continue to peg the boards, and place new jewely on them. I would like to see JUST the pink hanger tags on the front of the peg stands on the cluster. Please do not put anything on there with the old card stock. Make sure to really take a step back and visually look at the placement of the jewelry you choose, and how you peg it because this is what people will initally see when looking at the cluster. The old peg stands can go into the break room with the other fixtures in the back. Please work on maintaining and cleaning up jewelry once that is finished. If you need more jewelry call your floor sup and ask to get some from the office, where we keep our back stocked jewelry. We have more in the baskets above the desk as well. See you at 2!
Sunday: Please conduct a shoe lounge audit. Grab a MPOS. Make sure each boxed shoe is represented, stickered, and both feet hard tagged. Please also make sure all the mannequins are wearing full priced shoes (that part you can do at 10am).

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Weekly Directives

Oveall, we ended last week -39%. The store in general was slow and all around we all lacked in business. I'm really hoping with the weather improving people will start to come out of hiding to shop. Not to mention the new spring product that's been coming in is super cute!! :)

Successful classes: 154 small goods +24%, 164 beauty 1%, 143 socks +105%, 140 bras +3

Opportunity classes: 151 handbags -18%, 152 hats -32%, 157 scarves -23%, 311 casual shoes -64%, 315 athletic -72%

Directives:

  1. Complete markdowns. We have firsts this week.
  2. Switching out the wallets on the back of the second vignette with the chain link kimchi blue bags that are on the wallet frame.
  3. Sale clean up/a good fillin'. The pegs are looking wonky and the stuff on the back of the z-racks has been selling so we need to make sure to keep our sale looking clean and full.
  4. Start prepping sandals into wire baskets. We got a ton of cute wire baskets to display shoes in so they can be placed into tables! I'm excited to get some of these sandals out soon.
  5. Friday morning TOMS overhaul. Leslie and I will seperate all the toms by color in the bins in backstock as well as organizing the toms on the wall downstairs. This way they'll  be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Not to mention we mostly fill from the new toms, not from the bins. We'll be able to get more styles out as well.
  6. ALL our frames need to get filled, shoes upstairs, SOCKS, bras.
  7. Wrapping up shipment before the weekend and cleaning up any remaining WACC in backstock. We also need to make sure we're labeling the bins we put back there because it's really helping everyone find our product easier.
  8. Coming up with a game plan for our casual shoes. I need to speak with Morgin about this before the plans have been finalized.
  9. Our hair accessories are finally going onto the floor!!! YAY!!! wooooo! Ok. /end excitement. We got a new fixture just for hair accessories.
  10. Shoe lounge audit. Making sure all shoes are out , have stickers, and are tagged on both feet. More then likely this will be for Saturday morning.
WHEW. Ok, sorry this was posted so late in the week. !!
See you guys tomorrow.

Wednesday 3/19

Hey ya'll. It wasn't a very busy day, thanks to the weather. We got markdowns yesterday and I started the jewelry mark downs and Leslie continued. I wanted to keep working on them today but I couldn't find the manifest, and say what you want, but i didn't want to reprint so many pages because it's a huge waste and I didn't know where Leslie left off. So Anni, since Leslie said she left it with you, can you comment below  about where it might be? Cara came in today. She and Morgin built a beauuuutiful shelf and peg board display for our gillion head bands. And while Cara worked on displaying them I worked on shipment as usual. During my last hour, I worked on back stocking today's shipment, getting shipment onto the floor and worked on pulling some sale panties to sale and replacing them with new styles and colors. I'm hoping to finish mark downs between today and tomorrow. However, we're getting in 11 boxes of shoes tomorrow, so I'll update you on my progress. Oh! I also left the rest of yesterday's shipment of jewelry with Leslie.

Have a good night guys!

FRIDAY

Helloooooooo

Today Leslie and I filled TOMS, cleaned up and filled bras/undies, cleaned up/filled sunnies, and Leslie worked on organizing the sunnies. Morgin just told me tht next week we are getting our hair accessories out! Yay!! I also got all our sunglasses into the bays so they're no longer floating around back stock! Sale transfers are done and helped clear out a bunch of room for us! Hooray for transfers and dime outs!

Everyone say hello to Kathy our new addition to WACC! :)

Saturday: please spot fill upstairs (bags, scarves, hats). !!

BIG boxes, small boxes, dimeouts in them all

Hey guys! So, lovely Leslie detagged all the dimeouts for us. YAY! So Andy was able to tape them up and prep them for shipment. We also have sale transfers this week, so I pulled the majority of our sale back packs and the sale hand bags that aren't selling and, unfortunately, stacked them high, but neatly, in back stock. The plan is to get them boxed up tomorrow morning. Aside from shipment, I tried to do a hundred things at once this morning. I moved some boxed shoes around and pulled sale shoes to sale to make room for more bdg platform sneakers and converse sneakers. I moved new sale scarves to sale and rearranged the shoes, bags and scarves to make it a bit more organized. I also rearranged the bag bay in back stock and back stocked some of the left over boxes of shipment from Monday and Tuesday. While at cash wrap I spent the majority of my time processing shipment that was left over from the morning and placement, although of course Nico did all the planning and I just followed orders. I think that sums it all up.

. We got through dimeouts and prepped for transfers
. worked and reworked sale
. backstocked
. processed, placed and backstocked
. gave the bag bay a face lift and sucked some of the fat out of it ; )
. filled sale shoes and .........
. oh! completed jewelry dimeouts, i.e. operation DT (destroy and trash)

I spoke to Anni about this today, but we need to check our floor for sale, especially intimates, tights and socks because we (I) didn't get too far with the color markdowns and I've been ringing up unmarked sale for the past couple days. So, Friday morning, depending on what directive Anni leaves, the opener can run through the women's area downstairs and rf all our product.

Lastly, we need to get to the furthers in bs at some point this week/weekend

That's all folks. Have a good night!

Out They Go! : )

Hey guys. Aside from shipment, we have furthers and dimeouts this week. With the help of those who came in before me all of our shipment, including the two boxes of platform sneakers that I left yesterday, are processed and for the most part, back stocked. There are two boxes of sunglasses and head bands and some more of those platform sneakers stacked in the back. I'll try and get them all into the bays tomorrow. I started the dimeouts, beginning with the sale jewelry upstairs and then ending with the scarves and gloves in sale. I also pulled dimeout scarves and gloves from bs. Lastly, I furthered the majority of the boxed sale shoes and the back packs in sale. There are about 8 or so boxes at the cash wrap filled with today's dimeouts. Because we need to take the hard tags off, which Leslie started working on, Andy is going to make the stickers for them tomorrow.

See you guys early tomorrow!

Two day recap

hey guys. I didn't do much today. yesterday I did the markdowns on the sales floor and then during my last hours I pulled the sale shoes from the shoe lounge, marked them down and then filled the empty shelving in the shoe lounge with the BDG platform sneakers. I also filled sale back packs (the velocity ones). Today, I R'fd jewelry for missed mark downs and worked on moving the make up on the stantions to the a-frame. Morgin wants us to put nail polish, only, in the boxes on the stantion. She also asked that we not sell anything on the window forms because she needs to take pictures tomorrow. So, don't say I didn't tell you. I'm off. I have a date with my mom and sis.

See you guys tomorrow.

WACC SHRINK BREAKDOWN

$10,481 worth of jewelry has been lost in the past year....
678 units lost....
9.62% of our total shrink was jewelry which is the highest percent in the store....

As we continue to grow more aware of our customers and our shrink we have to keep these numbers in the back of our head. Think of the amount of jewelry stolen, damaged out incorrectly, lost behind/underneath/within the cash wrap.

TOP 2 LOSS ITEMS (IN ENTIRE STORE!)

WHAT IF...
We get online jewelry returned?
Piecey jewelry returned that has no home?
$200 necklace return?

>>>>>>PUT IT IN THE OFFICE ! We have a peg board in there for a reason. This isn't a 'where should i put it!?'. This is mandatory at this point. <<<<<<<

ALL SHOES THAT COME IN A BOX NOW MUST HAVE LANYARD TAGS ON BOTH FEET. I NEED 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THIS GUYS..

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

Hey Hey!

We have markdowns that I haven't started. For the last couple days I've just been trying to process all of our shipment so that I can reduce the amount of our boxes that go into back stock. Yesterday and today I spent my last hour in back trying to clear things up and get all of our things into bays. The trouble is, that right now we have an overflow of out stock shoes, specifically sandals and TOMS. Anni recently filled TOMS and they aren't especially light, so filling won't remedy the problem, there aren't any empty bins and there definitely isn't any room for them where the TOMS are stacked. I have a strong feeling that many of the bins of shoes, men's and women's may contain dime outs, but we have a visit tomorrow, so it was more important to find a short term solution and one that wasn't too time consuming. So I pegged out the cork wall that was previously a TOMS wall and I filled it out. Of course I couldn't find enough shoe hangers, so I didn't finish putting them all out (though they would not have all fit). Yesterday I piled the platform sneakers into an open space in the shoe bay. It is certainly a temporary fix, but it works for now to get rid of some boxes. I looked at the calender and we have another set of jobouts on the 11th, so I hope this helps us make some space. Sandals need to get out. The fact that we keep getting them but haven't put most of them out is contributing to the box build up to a great degree. But I know Anni and Morgin have been thinking about solutions, so things will get back to order soon.

I've had a crazy two days, so we'll chat tomorrow.

Good Night!

I'm woody. Howdy howdy howdy.

Hey! So I finished the sunglasses today and tagging shoes. Didn't get to the shoes that were out on the floor, but they're the ones that got moved over from bs so they're mostly already tagged. Got through some of the directives. Filled and such. On the nail polish, I filled the wall, but didn't get to redoing the stanchions. this morning was a little rough. GUYS cashwrap needs to get closed down every SINGLE night! there is no reason for excuses anymore. A good portion of my opening shift was spent closing the cashwrap. There were runs, holds, pins, damages/dimeouts, hangers etc still at the wrap this morning. Having to catch up in the morning sets everything else back. Please keep this in mind! Once more, theres a closing check list at the wrap!
Some tips:
-don't hold off on closing tasks til the very end. If it's slow, ask your floor sup to cover the wrap and take the dimeouts and damages down. Or do some runs. Utilize your down time! There is always something to do!
-separate the holds that expire that night from the other holds. Come close, rip those hold slips off. BOOM. You've got a handful of runs.
-make tags for items as soon as you can. That way a giant pile of skuless items dont start to form.
Have a good open!!
Ps pay attn to the candles at night.

Uh OH

oooops! I didn't get to any of the WACC directives today, granted it was a bit busy, but since I worked in women's for the majority of my morning and the 'WACC opener' didn't come in till later I don't think any of Anni's directives got completed. So if it's not too much Leslie can you look over them and try to get them done. I'm so sorry! Refer to Anni's "Saturday" post/

Call Me a Double Agent

Hi Dolls! Janine and I played a game of shift shifting this week, so she closed for me last night and I opened for her this morning. Thus, I was the acting Women's sale chief this morning. I RF'd sale, 'completed' furthers and pulled dime outs. I say 'completed' because I never got to the top left hand rack of sweaters. There were no dime outs, but I didn't get to mark that railing down. The dime outs, however, are complete and I even hit up the onesy rail in back stock and pulled dime outs from there. There are three boxes of dime outs at the cash wrap, two of which were made today, the other of which was there when I got in this morning. While at the wrap, I worked on Rf'ing sunglasses for dimeouts, those that I found are already included in the dime out boxes; however, there is a small amount of sunglasses left in a box on the table in BS that has a note for Leslie. This box contains the remaining sunglasses that need to be rf'd. Leslie, please use the RF when going through these because I noticed that some of the sunglasses that are coming up as full price on the computers and on the mpos are ringing as dime outs on the RF. So in order to follow one system, I've been abiding by the information presented by the RF.

That's all for tonight. I hope everyone has a great weekend. WACC ended up %8 yesterday, so YAY!!!!!!

remember no merch moves over the weekend!

That's really all I have for right now. I'll post more direction for sunday.
have a good weekend guys.

Thursday 2/28 and Friday Direction 3/1

Today I moved all the wedge sneakers into the shoe lounge and pulled the boots that were on the wall back into the stock room. I also ran through sale for dime outs, cleaned wacc sale, and filled it. I was working on the wacc bins at the cash wrap filtering out .10's and the color'd mark downs. Speaking of which, I will be finishing up the dime outs and color mark downs tomorrow. Abby got through a good amount of the sunglasses but there are still a few bags to be gone through. Hopefully she blogs tonight so Leslie can pick up where Abby left off.

Tomorrow I am working in backstock during the morning. I will be scanning through the rest of the dime outs, finishing up color mark downs, backstocking our left over shipment (SOOOO many shoes back there right now!). I was going to have Leslie finish lanyard tagging the boxed shoes in backstock and continue working on sunnies. We are also going to create a intimates sales display because we have so many after these color mark downs.

I was thinking for the hanging platform sneakers we could double up on the on the frame upstairs. The perferrated loafers and open toe flats can go downstairs. I would like to see the downstairs frames be socks/tights and then casual shoes/casual shoes.. I am going to run this by Morgin first, but I think this would help accomidate the new casual shoes we've gotten in. We have a bunch of the crochet flats back in too that need to go out. Plus, the tights are going to be shopped less and less the warmer it gets out. Tomorrow IS March 1st. ;)

Missing Mobile

Hey team! So outside of shipment, which was pretty heavy compared to the first couple days and last week, I wanted to address the situation with mobiles. We lost one earlier this week and it was later discovered in a garbage bin, and then we lost one again last night. So twice this week we've lost a mobile. Therefore, from now on ONLY the floor supervisor will have a mobile and there will be one stationed at register 5 for use at the cash wrap. This means that if any of us is on the floor and needs to use a mobile, he/she must ask the fs for it, and once done, must return it back to the floor sup. This process will make us each more mindful of the mobile, but it will also magnify the responsibility because at every moment you have to know where it is as does the fs. At the cash wrap, let's get in the rhythm of using the mobile and then placing it back on the spot Corey has craftily labeled at register 5, this is our mobiles home. I am always really nervous about misplacing these gadgets, so please, lets be diligent about safe keeping our mobiles.

Speaking of safe keeping, we will now be double tagging shoes, meaning each foot gets a tag. Corey would like us to only use lanyard tags, especially on display shoes. Leslie worked on tagging our back stocked shoes last weekend, and Anni retagged our display shoes in the shoe lounge and the ones on mannequins.

We got the images for the color specific markdowns. Anni got to most of the panties and bras on the sales floor and tomorrow I will be working on the dime outs. It will be easiest to work on sunglasses at the cw, so I will probably bring a couple bags at a time to the wrap to price check and I'll RF the sunglasses wall.

Will update you all tomorrow night.

Sleep tight.

HEYYYY!

In shipment: Three new chunky necklaces in mixed metals, polka dot canvas lace ups, mint floral printed canvas lace ups, new filigree-like strapped sandal in black, a new wallet with a chain strap in three colors; black, pink and blue, and new post earrings. The wallets and the canvas lace ups have not made it to the floor yet.

We still have markdowns to comPlete, the images were supposed to come in mail pack today but didn't, so hopefully tomorrow or Thursday we'll just RF the fixtures and possibly the bays and complete mark downs that way. We also have dime outs, mostly on intimates, so if they're not done before Saturday, then I will be working on them Saturday morning.

Important notes from today's walk through: We need to work on reorganizing and repegging the jewelry A-frame, work on cleaning up and dealing with our shipment in bs. Anni and I have to figure out how to get the TOMS and the platform sneakers out of boxes and into the bays. We have to clean up sale and create a clean working display for sale intimates and work on relocating some of our hand bags so that they'll sell better. That's all for now. Look out for a post from Anni.

We also have new promos coming up, but tomorrow I will check to see which are value signage and which are reduced price promos. So if you haven't worked this week and wont be working tomorrow check back here for that information. Other wise, check your slant!

Till tomorrow!

Weekly Directives

  1. Move chain link pouch on back of vignette #2 to the wall near the bathroom.
  2. Move the envelope bags on the bathroom wall onto a table. I was thinking the middle entry table. Those scarves in the back of the table are on sale. We can move something from the front of the table to the back to create room for the envelope bags.
  3. On vignette #2 will go the chain link kimchi blue bags that come in a million colors. We decided on putting the heart ones back there. The regular chain link bags I would like to see an entire row of them on the small goods frame. We will probably have to sacrafice some other wallets for the time being.
  4. Colored firsts this week. It seems to mostly be bras and panties. Over the weekend we will put out wooden boxes in sale on the shelving to help sell through these. We have got to make sure it's getting closed out properly at night though.
  5. Sale clean up.
  6. We should have a new price point sign for the BDG skimmers in the mail pack this week. The sign needs to go on the a-frame upstairs. Hopefully this will help drive our casual shoe business a bit.
  7. The jewelry frame needs some love. It needs to be re-worked and the piecey jewelry needs to be put in the office. Lets keep it clean people!!
  8. Keeping up with shipment for the week.
  9. TOMS. Fill them. Breathe them. Live them.
  10. DIME outs this week. 100% by Friday.
Anni

Expectations

  1. Online return jewelry over $30 needs to be put in the office.
  2. Moving forward ALL SHOES must be hard tagged (both feet). Display shoes need lanyard tags. This week I will have someone go through the shoe lounge display shoes to make sure they are tagged correctly.
  3. When processing WACC please make sure to pull all paper out of shoe boxes, bags, etc.
  4. Only managers can ring employees (goes for all employees of the company).
  5. Make sure we're doing the EAS every morning.
  6. ALWAYS get a manager to sign your holds and damages.
  7. I will be going over more in depth operational cash wrap situations in the near future.
  8. The cash wrap needs to remain as clear as possible at all times.
If anyone ever has a question please ask!! Call for your floor sup if you have a line or need help clearing the counter!!

Up!

Hey guys! Happy Monday! We only got two boxes of shipment today; a box of white converses, and a mixed box of necklaces, the small card earrings, crochet headbands in 3 colors and replen in the solid black and solid ivory lace bras. Everything has gone out and been processed. I read Leslie's post, but for whatever reason I didn't understand what she meant by "double tagging" the shoes, so I single tagged all the converses excluding the display.

Anni didn't work today, so there was no walk through, however the break down of last week is as follows:

We ended last week down 28 percent

Strong classes: boots up 100, panties up 262, socks up 20, hats up 14, gloves up 118, sunglasses up 21, and necklaces up 66

Weak Classes: bras down 61, travel down 84, earrings down 38, hand bags and wallets down 39, belts down 84, small goods down 16, casual shoes down79, and athletic down 23

When I opened last Thursday we were down almost 50 percent, see we made some improvement through Saturday and continued to do so through Sunday because as of this morning we were up 14. Let's try and keep the momentum going.

Oh! We have color firsts. I got to the ones I could identify but the manifest didn't include skus, and going by the color alone is tricky, so I completed what I could. The images should come in some time this week so we can be sure which items are on sale.

Ill see you guys tomorrow. Good Night.

Good morning angels

So Real quick:

This weekend worked in backstock, as much as I could, processing and double tagging shoes. I tried to organize as I went, it's not quite perfect. I left off at the deena and ozzy buckle sandal things, then noticed there were more on another shelf. Fear not. I think there's still enough space to keep them together. Basically what's left is the ecote booties, some bdg sneakers, and online return shoes. I've just been taking all the paper out and double tagging. The nikes were a total pain.
On Saturday filled the nail polishes using the ones at cashwrap. Then shaina did some beautiful mind magic and made it look pretty(she was kinda bored) While rearranging them, I noticed how gnarly and dusty those things have gotten and ended up dusting those nail polishes with that canned air goodness we have.
Let's keep an eye on that. Dust collects so quickly on everything in here. dusty and gross products dont sell.
We've also been prepping the new disc tags at cashwrap, so those are up there. I heard there are still two boxes we have to get to. Woohoo.
Little reminder: Don't forget to get holds and damaged items signed by managers!!
Have a good open!
Leslie

Hiiiii

So last nights close went smoothly. I tagged all the canvas tote bags by the bathrooms. I didn't get a chance to rearrange jewelry though. There is a teeny basket of jewelry in the office that was at cashwrap last night. anni wants that jewelry "wall" reworked. Luckily she's opening so she can give you better direction. There were also some sunglasses at cashwrap, so those went out.that's it dudes! Have a good day!

WEEKLY DIRECTIVES / IMPORTANT INFO

Sorry this is so late in the week. As most of you know I've been pretty sick this week, so I apologize We ended the week -18%

Sucessful classes: 152 +70%, 153 gloves +94%, 163 other jewelry +73%, 154 small goods +76%, 312 boots +112%.

Opportunity classes: 157 scarves -19%, 151 handbags -14%, 311 casual -93%, 315 athletic -12%.

  • Sale clean up. The backpacks in sale need to be moved to the back of the z-racks in sale. The sale shoes on the very bottom below the last shelf need to be moved onto the shelves. If there are any other z-rack backs that are not being used we could fill 9.99 sale scarves from the stock room.
  • Shoe lounge update. We would like to get all the sneaker wedges onto the wall seeing as how they are what is selling the most out of our shoes. Because we don't have a ton I'd like to condense what's out there and then make the bottom shelf the cheaper sneaker wedges (the velcro ones). I'd perfer to keep the Nike wedges in backstock though, because they are $130.
  • Mark downs and furthers 100% by Friday..
  • Figuring out a game plan for those TOMS.. I moved the 19.99 TOMS to the sale section which cleared up 3-5 pegs in the full priced section. I won't be able to get to fill them today, but they will need to get filled this weekend to help clear out some of our TOMS in backstock (We have 3-4 boxes full of them! yikes!)
  • Jewelry clean up. We would like to move the charm-y/gift-y jewelry forward, pull the sale 'other jewelry' off (sale rings, sale bracelets, etc), and tidy up the back of the frame.
Important info:
  1. ALL DISPLAY SHOES.. ALL DISPLAY SHOES.. MUST. BE. LANYARD TAGGED. Abby and I walked in the other day to find two pairs of $100+ heels not tagged at all. THESE HAVE GOT TO BE TAGGED. ALL OF THEM.
  2. ENGAGE your customer at the wrap. Abby talked about this already, but to re-iterate. COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. "Hi how are you?" "Did you find everything ok?" is really all it takes.
  3. USE YOUR MOBILE POS. I swear to GOD if anyone on WACC is ever on a mystery shop saying 'everythings on the floor' you're going to get fired. I will make sure of it. We have mobiles for a reason. Especially at the cash wrap, utilize them. Your shift will not be dragged out any longer from one order. If you're about to leave, call for back up. If there's a line, call for back up.
  4. WACC BACKSTOCK. Abby and I spent 7 straight hours back there organizing the crap out of our bays. THERE IS A HOME FOR EVERYTHING IN BACKSTOCK. THERE IS NO REASON RANDOM WACC SHOULD BE FLOATING AROUND BINS/THE BACKSTOCK. Every bin is labeled "sale scarves" "scarves" "hats" "sale hats". Even the bag wall is labeled. This means if there's a random return you can either 1) run it to a very similiar/like item on the floor OR 2) you can find the appropriate bin/home for it in backstock. Example, an online bag is returned and we don't have it. Place it in the shelf that says 'online hand bags'. Easy, right?
  5. SEPERATE YOUR PINS AND HARD TAGS. PULL THEM EVERY NIGHT. There is no reason this shouldn't be happening nightly.
  6. Fill bags at night. I feel like this happens maybe once a week. It needs to be happening more often.

READ and COMMENT

Hey guys. Like usual we got shipment today. With help, everything got processed, out and back stocked. We got in a new bag that comes in five colors for $34, two new colors and patterns of the chain handled pouches, and a few new wallets.  Tonight I just want to reiterate some things that we should all be aware of and practicing. This month we got a 25% out of a possible 150% on our mystery shop. Many of the points we lost were lost at the wrap. So, we need to make sure we are greeting customers, helping them on the floor if need be, but mainly at the cash wrap, we need to use our mobiles, for size checks, color checks, within and without our store checks, cool? Use those mobiles, they provide us with extra points, and the more we milk it the better. For example: "I wasn't able to locate that item in our store; however, with my handy dandy mobile here, I will be sure to help you locate it in another Urban or online". Wah lah magic guys! I know that a lot of us utilize our mobiles but its use needs to become second nature to all of us. Chit chatting at the wrap. Lets be honest we're all chatty at the wrap, so we know how to communicate. Let's please chat it up with the customers. When dealing with a customer, ask yourself, am I treating this person like he/she exists? Because if you are then you've greeted them, asked them if they found everything ok (note: this question often leads to concerns about items or sizes that couldn't be located, an opportune moment to introduce the customer to our handy dandy mobile), within reason asked if they'd like a bag, an emailed receipt, paper or both etc. I know we know all of these things, but let's make a point to do it ALL the time. When a customer is returning an item or items......? I am intersted to know what you guys know so comment on that. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE WHEN SOMEONE IS MAKING A RETURN? So lets play this game. Everyone comment; give one point, example, whatever, and no one can repeat one that has already been posted. I will be interested to see who's reading posts, and where we are as a team.

See you guys tomorrow.

Presidents, mystery shops and Fatah

Hey guys! It was a busy day. A few lucky New Yorkers got the day off today and it seems they decided to take advantage of the last day of the 30 percent off sale. We got 50 boxes of shipment today; a couple boxes of toms, replen in the solid black and solid white platform lace up sneakers, replen in the scarves represented on the necklace forms on the wall near the stairs, new jewelry and a cute hat with cat ears. For the most part everything has been processed. We just need to make sure all the jewelry goes out and the remaining scarves get unwrapped and back stocked.

Business wise we were down 17 last week and almost 50 yesterday. We did very well in other jewelry, panties and boots, but most everything else was down. Belts are finally back on the floor and sunglasses are back and selling, but they went up late in the week, so hopefully we will see improvements in these classes next week. Hand bags and Travel are continuing to struggle, even with the sale. We have markdowns this week, but I haven't even seen them yet.

Cash Wrap: CLOSE DOWN THE WRAP!!!! Anni has created a cash wrap checklist that is hanging on the right door of the first cabinet behind the registers. TAKE A GOOD LOOK. I pulled holds from Valentine's Day! Also, we need to keep the drawers together. Again, READ! Please keep everything in their designated spaces. Additionally, we got our Secret Shop for last month and it is awful. So if Anni or someone else doesn't do it we will be going over cash wrap protocol when I see each of you. I will be the first to admit that I don't do everything perfectly all the time, but as a team we need to do better.

In other news, though it is related to what I just said above, Fatah came by today......

I know tomorrow is going to be a tough one. See you guys then.

Weekend Update

belts are up!
Tights are in the second fitting room downstairs.
I processed and put out most of that new jewelry. There was quite a bit of excess in the bracelets and rings so I left them wrapped and put them back in the office.
Toms are processed, but I didn't know where to put them. There are 3 boxes in bs. I put some out on the floor to fill it out, but there are still plenty back there.
There was a bin of scarves that were left at cashwrap on Friday and a box of scarves that Cedric found in bs. I filled those that were on the floor and combined the bin and box. They are in bs.
I filled sale with what I could. Scarves were looking a little light when I left so that could be filled in the am.
Cedric cleaned the backstock area this morning and it looked really good. I tried to organize the wacc stragglers as much as I could.

ALSO
Just a reminder for closing:
Don't forget to close the $wrap!
I know nights are busy and can get rough, but it's what we gotta do. As much as we want to help close the floor, we forget the cashwrap is part of that. If it's not closed out, then you aren't done.
If you don't already know, anni has put a list of closing responsibilities up on the inside of the cabinet next to the holds. Now you know.
Drop pins, pull expired holds, close down jewelry clusters, clear the counters, and take down hangers!! Hangers were getting crazy again! We have a new girl, kathi (sp?) that started this morning and she boxed and organized the crap out of those hangers. Please help keep it that way!
That's all kids.
For weekend update, I'm Leslie B. Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.
