We also got two new styles of bags in 3 colors. We got a bunch of socks (duh) and undies (duh). We got a new lace wallet in three colors. We got a new scarf in 3 colors. We got new hats in. We got new everything almost, haha. We got a new outstock shoe in today also in 3 colors. Right now the shipment from today has yet to be processed. We spent the morning processing shipment from yesterday. Unfortunately today was the day the WACC wall came down in the back of zone 2 :'(. This means on top of all the shipment we have a lot of displaced WACC we're working on finding temporary homes for just so we don't lose business over the weekend.
SO. We're moving the sunnies to one side of the A-Frame so the back of that A-Frame can house the 'seudette' flats. The hurraches and mary janes are going to make their way downstairs to the shoe lounge.
On a more serious note.. This store is looking kind of messy lately. I think we need a thorough cleaning and I don't just mean a scrub down. I mean, the floor needs to be filled and max'd out. Everything from the break room, to the backstock, to the fitting room, and cash wrap. We have GOT to take some pride in our store. If we don't, who will? If everyone is holding their weight and doing what they should be doing we won't have these problems. I also think the management team needs to set up the closing team for success. Which hasn't been happening lately. If the closing crew comes in and finds random stuff lying around (as they have been) it is not fair to them to have to clean up other peoples messes. I feel like theres a lot of that lately... Hold yourself and others accountable!

I definitely agree/relate to your last bit Anni! I've closed and opened, and run into some issues during both shifts that can be avoided if we communicate better. If you've opened and leave a huge pile of shirts, leave a note! If there's a rack of hanging shirts or sweaters that are to go out, leave a note (with some sort of guide as to where to place them).
ReplyDeleteSame goes for closing. If there's piecy/homeless items, let your openers know so they don't walk into a fitting room/cashwrap/backstock full of runs. It's shared fate and everyone's actions affects each-others. :)
I'm glad someone feels the same way as I do. I don't know why but it's looked so messy in here lately.
